Legend Of The Seagullmen (Tool/Mastodon, Etc.) Premiere “The Fogger”

Legend Of The Seagullmen, featuring Tool‘s Danny Carey and Mastodon‘s Brent Hinds among their members, debut a new song entitled “The Fogger“. It’s from their self-titled new album that is out February 09th on Dine Alone. Explains the band’s Jimmy Hayward, the song is about the character Carey adopts for the band (see the below image,) ‘The Fogger‘:

“‘The Fogger‘ is a mystical aquatic tale about The Seagullmen‘s very own drummer, Danny Carey. He stalks the ocean in search of users, abusers and polluters and deals lethal justice with his third eye while ripping the faces from skulls, just like he does during the punishing and beautifully complex drum solo in the middle of the song. The solo explodes into a furious conclusion, leaving no doubt about the karmic justice and pure ferocious power of ‘The Fogger’!”

Demonstealer Reveal Album Artwork For 2018 Album

Demonstealer, reveals the artwork for their upcoming album titled ‘The Last Reptilian Warrior’ created by none Reuben Bhattacharya aka Visual Amnesia (Slipknot etc.). The artist had this to say about it:

“The Last Reptilian Warrior was quite the journey. I really enjoyed the process of painting this entity and creating this character based on the Reptilian idea with Sahil. The art itself evolved over a period of time until it became the embodiment of the last reptilian, a Monk like Warrior walking the volcanic lands alone carrying his machine and staff, watching the world around him come apart. I really wanted his expression to convey that feeling of wicked dystopia.”

The final tracklisting for the album is as follows:

1. The Grand Collapse Of Humanity featuring Kevin Paradis (Benighted)
2. Sculpting The Archetype featuring Krimh (Septiflesh), Stefano (Aborted) & Rami (Nervecell)
3. The Perspective Of Evil featuring Romain Goulon (Necrophagist) & Arran McSporran (Virvum)
4. The Human Pestilence featuring David Diepold (Cognizance) & Stefano (Hideous Divinity)
5. No Victory In War featuring Kevin Paradis (Benighted) & Shoi Sen (De Profundis)
6. The Weak Shall Perish featuring David Dielpold (Cognizance), Arran McSporran (De Profundis) & Mendel (Aborted)
7. The Last Reptilian Warrior

Details Of New Album “No Grave, No Burial” Issued By Statues

Following the reveal of the disturbing and unsettling music video for “Unrest” last week (check it out in the player below), Australian hardcore outfit Statues has now revealed pre-order details, plus artwork and track listing from the forthcoming album “No Grave, No Burial,” which is to be self-released on November 10th. You can now pre-order the album from Bandcamp or iTunes.

Statues explores a new direction with this record, whilst maintaining a strong connection to the roots and increasingly making them one of the prominent live bands to see, within Australian heavy music. The band has shared stages with the likes of Northlane, Norma Jean, Every Time I Die and many more.

“No Grave, No Burial” is a conceptual album set in the heart of a civil war, the character must find safety by leaving his home. To escape he must lose loved ones, battle his own demons, face who took all he knows and uncover a horrific truth at the end of his struggles. He fights to find freedom, only to further persecution and a bleak reality.

Statues kept the recording process entirely in-house with the album produced and mixed by Matthew Templeman (Voyager, Make Them Suffer, Surroundings) and mastered by Matthew’s long-time collaborator, Simon Struthers (Paul Dempsy, The Love Junkies, The Decline). The production balances the chaos and contrast of the previous album, with a thicker and more atmospheric aesthetic and a reflective of the gut wrenching theme of this record.

The track listing is:

1 Collapse
2 Sirens
3 Defiance
4 OnwardsTo The Sun
5 –
6 No Grave, No Burial
7 Unrest
8 Dirge
9 Sanctuary

Paradise Lost Premieres New Music Video “Blood & Chaos” From Upcoming New Album “Medusa”

Paradise Lost premieres a new song and music video entitled “Blood & Chaos”, taken from the upcoming new album “Medusa”, which will be released on September 01st.

Check out now “Blood & Chaos” below.

Explains video director Ash Pears:

“The track talks about elements of savagery and basic instinct. It felt right to set the video in a dark and dystopian post electrical-blackout world, where those who remain are essentially scavengers, and barely survivors. Things they once took for granted like batteries, matches and lighters are now the most sought after. This confusing new world has quickly turned upside down what’s important to our character; and also makes him question what he would kill for. Our fantastic lead actor Nick Lester fully threw himself at this role – he really brought it to life alongside his collaborations with our other very talented actors Adele, Cris and Matt. The band and their team have been very supportive. I’ve shot with them before on a performance for ‘Beneath Broken Earth‘, but this narrative-based video is an entirely different animal. They are the kind of band who know what they like but equally give great freedom in how to bring the track to life. It was Nick and Greg who offered advice on the idea of savagery and basic instinct, so I took those ideas and developed them into a story.”

John Frum Posts “Wasting Subtle Body” Music Video

Just days ahead of the release of a debut album, cult metal collective John Frum has now dropped a video for new song, “Wasting Subtle Body.” Check it out below. The band’s new record, “A Stirring In The Noos,” will be available for purchase and stream via Relapse Records on May 12th.

The video for “Wasting Subtle Body” was directed by Mitch Massie (Cattle Decapitation, The Locust) and is a mind-bending depiction of a terrifying ritual with haunting visuals. Massie comments:

“One thing I was really excited about with this project was to shoot nature in a way that depicts the character’s inward journey. I didn’t want to use the weird sex and death stuff I tend to do. This project was to be the beauty of nature herself! I went way out there with my camera and tried to get my inner hippie excited about tickling chakras, absorbing energy from stones, bathing in nature’s blushing design…but all I found in mother nature was death and fucking (in macro).”

The mysterious John Frum is the manifestation of four musical minds coalescing in a collective consciousness developed from time spent playing with The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Faceless, John Zorn, Cleric and many more elite projects.
