Reprisal Premiere New Song “Nephila” From Upcoming New Album “None Survive the Sun”

UK death thrashers Reprisal premiere a new song titled “Nephila”, taken from their upcoming new album “None Survive the Sun”, which will be out in stores on March 30 via Hostile Media.

Check out now “Nephila” below.

Explains bassist Theo Brooke:

“‘Nephila’ is about life’s inescapable drive to create more of itself, whatever the cost. It parallels the human experience of love and attraction with those species of spider which practice sexual cannibalism. Both are arbitrary, ruthless and potentially fatal. Are the differences between us purely superficial? At what point does sex become horror? Is death a fair price for the chance to breed?”

Remixed, A Capella Version Of “Pictures” Streaming From Disparager

Disparager will kick off the “Sayonara Summer Tour” beginning tomorrow October 3rd in Brooklyn, NY with a special show alongside 36 Crazyfists. In conjunction with the tour starting, Disparager has teamed up with Metal Sucks for an exclusive premiere of the remixed, acapella version of their song “Pictures (REMIX).” Check out the exclusive premiere over at this location, or simply stay right here and check it out at the bottom of this article.

On releasing “Pictures (REMIX),” AhKao says, “The EP version of ‘Pictures’ is pretty much a blaster with loud drums, heavy bass and guitar distortion, odd time signatures, and screams. So it was crazy fun to do a stripped down, nearly-entirely a cappella version. I think like it really brings out the chord qualities and gives the lyrics new emotional depth. Also, we’re hoping the track will draw attention to our upcoming tour. The bookers, clubs, and other bands have been working hard to make this happen for us, and the Disparager boys and I are truly grateful.”

Following tomorrow’s show, Disparager will play shows alongside Genosha, Your Chance to Die, and Set and Setting. The tour runs through October 19th in Atlanta, GA. The full itinerary can be seen below.

After a line up change and nearly three years of blood, sweat, and tears, Disparager is as brutal and hypnotic as metal can be. The band has always been an extension of frontman Chris AhKao regaining his life from personal demons, but the guys’ live set has become unreal. Witness some of the darkest, most soul crushing, punishing vortex of anguish humankind is capable of… when you catch Desparager on tour… if you dare.

Recorded with producer Jay Maas (Defeater, Bane, H2O, American Nightmare, Polar Bear Club), Timeless, Ageless is bursting with dense rawness and precision while pushing the boundaries of metal with tracks like “At Least I Still Have Bon Iver” – half folk song, half crushing mix of Isis and Slayer – and “Pictures” – a time signature mindfuck the band is proud NOT to call prog rock.

Closing a five-year gap since the 2012 release of the Alternative Tentacles-issued “Wreck” LP, Unsane makes a vicious return with “Sterilize,” a record that recalls the most defining elements of the band’s seminal albums.

Of “The Grind,” Unsane guitarist/vocalist Chris Spencer declares: “This is the drum crusher we’ve been looking forward to doing live! A song about living to the fullest while you’ve got the chance.”

Edensong Posts Terra Incognita Festival 2017 Footage

New York City progressive outfit Edensong has issued a new live video for the epic “Down The Hours,” which was filmed at the Terra Incognita Festival in Quebec earlier this year.

Issues guitarist/vocalist James Schoen, “It was an honor to get the chance to return to Terra Incognita for Edenson’s second performance at the festival. The audience in Quebec is so incredible and ‘Down The Hours’ was one of our favorite moments from the show.

“Quebec is also home to Godin Guitars who make the amazing xtSA that I use live and which enables me to quickly shift between (and combine) acoustic and electric guitar sounds. These guitars, along with our Hearback PRO monitoring rig from Hear Technologies, really help us bring this music to the stage and recreate Years In The Garden Of Years faithfully in concert.”

Deny The Cross Posts “Bacteria Tribute” Video

“Alpha Ghoul” is the debut full-length from powerviolence alliance Deny The Cross, captured by Greg Wilkinson (Pallbearer, Vastum) at Earhammer Studios with drums recorded by Chris Pierce (Rorschach, Night Birds). Cover artwork was handled by Mark McCoy of Charles Bronson.

In celebration of its release, today Deny The Cross thrusts forth an official lyric video for “Bacteria Tribute.” The fifty-eight-second bruiser is an ode to iconic graphic artist Pushead (Metallica, Misfits, The Exploited, Prong, Septic Death, Integrity et al).

Issues vocalist Carlos Ramirez: “Growing up in the ’80s, obsessed with metal and hardcore, and also skateboarding, Pushead’s artwork was unavoidable. There was something about his style that moved me from the moment I first came across it. I had the chance to meet Pushead in 1989 at an exhibit of his work at a place called Psychedelic Solution in New York City and he was really humble. You can see Pushead’s influence today in the work of artists like John Dyer Baizley and Florian Bertmer.”

Rev Theory Releasing New Album “The Revelation”

Rev Theory is back with fourth studio album, “The Revelation,” which is set for a September 9th release. A striking lyric video for the scathing new track “Guns” is available below.

Rich Luzzi (vocals) states: “It’s been an amazing experience recording these songs that were written and inspired from within. Julien and Matty did an incredible job producing this album and I am proud to have been able to lend my voice to it. This record takes me back to our very first release when we made music out of sheer love and passion.”

Matty McCloskey (bass) further adds: “This is the first time in our careers that we have been able to create freely. Finally given the chance to fully produce an album ourselves, we were able to capture the true vision that we imagined for Rev Theory since the very beginning. By incorporating our favorite elements from the past three records, we believe we have created the quintessential Rev album.”
