Title Track Of New Album “Reality Illusion” Streaming From Damnation Plan

Finnish progressive melodic death metallers Damnation Plan has released the new single “Reality Illusion,” which you can check out in the player below. The song is the title track from the upcoming new album coming March 10th.

The band is running a Pledge Music pre-order campaign for the upcoming full length album. By pre-ordering the album from the campaign you’ll get 10+ in-depth video documentary episodes about the making of the album. The campaign can be found here at this location.

Drummer/songwriter/lyricist Jarkko Lunnas commented: “Creating this album took us 3+ years of hard work, driving me and some of us almost insane during the process of recording the album almost entirely ourselves. It was a massive task but I believe it served the end result well!

“The album deals with separating the truth from the beliefs and seeing it (or not seeing it) through the different bubbles that we’ve learned to live in our stable and modern societies. We are estranged from the reality until we are forced to face it.

“The album delivers the message covering a whole spectrum of feelings from an atmospheric and emotional perspective, all the way to the maximal intensity.”

“Reality Illusion” was mixed by Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, Bloodbath, etc) at Unisound Studios. The track listing for the album is:

1. Intro
2. Beyond These Walls
3. Rulers Of Truth
4. Rise Of The Messenger
5. Blinded Faith
6. The Empowerment
7. Maze Of Despair
8. Iron Curtain Falls
9. Reality Illusion
10. A Chapter In Greed
11. The Final Destination

Strychnia Issues New Album Update, Launches Crowd Funding Campaign

Strychnia just launched a Kickstarter campaign for new album “Into The Catacombs” (check out the perks for joining the campaign over here) and also revealed the cover artwork below. The band comments:

“For the past year we have been working on completing a new full-length album. Unfortunately the band has dwindled down to 2 members – which does not affect our recording process, but it makes things very hard financially. My partner in the band is a multi-instrumentalist and plays guitar, bass, and drums. So all we need to finish this album is really some extra help with the finances.

“You guys are the best fans we could ever ask for and the amount of support has been immense! You all know our Vocalist – Kevin, was struggling with some personal issues… and because of you guys he is now motivated to come back stronger than ever. We know you will always be by our side, and we will always be by yours!”

Chariots of The Gods comments: “After all this time of not releasing new music, we are really excited and proud to finally present you some new material from the new lineup. With the coming of this new record, we thought that a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter could not only help us face the financial burden of the project, but also give us a way to engage with our fans and gauge the interest in the project.

“Unlike many other crowdfunding platforms, a Kickstarter campaign is ‘all or nothing,’ which mean we don’t get funded unless we reach our goal. Our goal for this campaign is to get 3000$ to help us with the costs of production and promotion. We hope you’ll enjoy our new material as well as the perks that we’ve prepared for you!”
