“Loud Fest” Shut Down By Police Following Altercation Between Audience And Security

Past Saturday’s “Loud Fest” at GameChangerWorld in South Howell, NJ was cut short by police after an altercation between security and some audience members. The fest was booked to feature Despised Icon, Knocked Loose, Internal Bleeding, On Broken Wings, Jesus Piece. The venue issued the below statement on that matter:

“A message from GameChangerWorld & Diamond Concerts:

Due to an altercation between a private contracted security officer and a few concert goers, Howell Township Police cancelled the remainder of tonight’s scheduled show. GameChangerWorld security and staff were NOT involved in the altercation and supported the Howell Police as needed.

Media reports of multiple injuries and transports are fabricated. Howell Police responded to a 911 call and with our staff, we were all able to exit the venue. Any reports of the contrary are not true.

GameChangerWorld has never had any problems with any of our crowds over the 4 years we have been in Howell and tonight’s incident with our security contractor will be reviewed and addressed so future incidents are avoided.

We appreciate the fans and artist support. GameChangerWorld management is cooperating with Howell Police as they investigate the incident between the security officer and the entire situation.

We also appreciate the fans for their cooperation and despite negative comments surrounding the incident, you all pulled together and evacuated the premises. This is not something that typically happens so thank you all for your patience throughout the night.”

Kadavar Announces “Abra Kadavar” Special Edition Album

German classic rock outlet Kadavar has just announced the release of a special edition of last year’s “Abra Kadavar” album.

The 2CD set will include the full track list of “Abra Kadavar” plus a bonus track, as well as a full live set recorded in Antwerp. Furthermore, Kadavar will put out a separate vinyl release called “Live In Antwerp” that comes as a 2LP set and also features the full live concert.

“Abra Kadavar Special Edition” and “Live In Antwerp” will be released on June 6th (Europe) and June 9th (UK & France) 2014 via Nuclear Blast.

Commented the band: “With over 250 shows played, we have always considered ourselves as an absolute live band. Our sound on stage is different from the one on the studio albums and thus we’ve been asked time and again, why we don’t do a live release. The time seemed right now and on our last EU tour we recorded some of the shows. Antwerp was the best of them. I would even say one of the best in 2013. Everything was right, people were in a great mood and I am very happy with the sound – especially since it does not sound like every other live album!”
