The Atlas Moth Debut New Song “Actual Human Blood”

Another new track from The Atlas Moth‘s upcoming album “Coma Noir” has been made available. Below you can stream “Actual Human Blood” off the album. “Coma Noir” will hit next Friday, February 09th, through Prosthetic Records.

Comments guitarist/vocalist David Kush:

“This song mostly came about because of Mike [Broken Hope] joining the band. He is an absolute beast on drums and we wanted to write some songs that could showcase his talent while still keeping true to our Atlas Moth sound. The guy is a machine and we can’t wait to get on the road with him to play this live!”

“The concept of cults and cult mentality is explored throughout Coma Noir. You could even say that we as a band and our fans are collectively a cult. The psychedelic culture is a cult of sorts. Religion can be seen as a cult. We aren’t commenting on if they are good or bad, just pointing out that when people believe blindly in anything as truth, they will close themselves off to the greater cult we all fall into which is just Human Beings.

We write these songs in part to inspire others to think for themselves and be entertained, but mostly to remind OURSELVES of the journey we all have taken to come to these realizations.”

New Video Clip “Outback Incest Clan” Available From Broken Hope

Chicago’s Broken Hope recently released the seventh studio album “Mutilated and Assimilated” via Century Media Records. The album pays tribute to John Carpenter’s classic film “The Thing” and John W. Campbell Jr’s short story “Who Goes There.”

In further celebration of “Mutilated and Assimilated” release, the band has prepared a new music video for the pummeling single, “Outback Incest Clan”, which can be seen below.

Guitarist Jeremy Wagner commented: “What’s in a name? Our song titles usually say a lot, and OUTBACK INCEST CLAN should tell you what’s in store. I got the idea for the subject matter straight from our sick vocalist, Damian Leski, who has can given me a few lyrical ideas. This song is based on TRUE EVENTS! I’ll give you the Wikipedia lowdown: It’s about the ‘Colt family incest case,’ dubbed by media as the ‘Colt incest clan,’ an Australian family discovered in 2012 to have been engaging in four generations of incest beginning with ‘Tim and June Colt,’ a brother and sister who emigrated from New Zealand in the 1970s. The family grew to nearly 40 members ranging from grandparents to mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, aunts, uncles, nephews, brothers and sisters all engaging in various forms of incest. Many of the children suffered from deformities and medical problems.

“The video was another collaboration between director Tommy Jones and Broken Hope and we love the way this one played out with Tommy’s cool camera angles and the creepiness he injected into it. Enjoy!”

Broken Hope Posts “The Meek Shall Inherit Shit” Interactive Video

Broken Hope just posted a new 360 degree video for latest track “The Meek Shall Inherit Shit.” Explore unique perspectives of the extreme and incredible art of Wes Benscoter and experience a kaleidosphere of death metal misanthropy at every turn in this interactive video.

While much of the album pays tributes to John Carpenter’s classic “The Thing” and John W. Campbell Jr’s short story “Who Goes There,” the lyrics behind “The Meek Shall Inherit Shit” were actually inspired by the true horrors observed in the real world.

Guitarist and songwriter Jeremy Wagner explains: “’The Meek Shall Inherit Shit’ is a song I’ve been wanting to write lyrically for some time. I’m an environmentalist – a guy who considers environment, rather than heredity, as the primary influence on the development human beings. Homo sapiens are living in a shitpile.

“We constantly foul our nest, we are killing the planet, and we cause up to 2,000 extinctions every year. Look, I don’t want to get all hippy and political here. I just love the natural world so much and I hate what’s being done to it. It fucking pisses me off! And you can hear my anger in the lyrics and the music of this track.”

Fall Of Summer Adds Cattle Decapitation And More To 2017 Lineup

The Fall of Summer team is excited to reveal five new bands the impending 2017 line-up, with the festival’s organizers commenting:

“Let’s get started with a very important project to us, as French metalheads and heavy metal lovers, with a tribute band to the cult heavy metal group Sortilege! Before giving you more details soon, we are very proud to tell you that some original members of the band will come on stage for the occasion!

“Still heavy metal to the core, let’s raise our fist and start the rebellion together with German legends Grave Digger! It’s also a great pleasure for us to welcome the cult American thrash metal band Toxik for a first show in France.

“Last but not least we are glad to announce two great American death metal bands, with grind death masters of Cattle Decapitation and veterans from Broken Hope, who reformed 5 years ago with Jeremy Wagner joined by vocalist Damian Leski from Gorgasm and other talented musicians, without stopping by the Paris area at all. They had to, at some point, and we’re glad it will be at Fall of Summer 2017!”
