Zev Deans comments: “After crawling through abandoned buildings, crashing our van into a tree in the middle of a scene, witnessing a real stabbing and drenching ourselves in fake blood in a derelict park at 5am, we can safely say this was a proper introduction to the slasher genre for Panorama Programming. We brought a slab of fresh meat back from a rotting metropolis, and we’re serving it to you raw. Come and get it.”

Many words come to mind when you hear the name Cannibal Corpse, but one truly defines the soon-to-be thirty-year death metal veterans: Unstoppable. Produced by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Goatwhore), Red Before Black serves to not only reiterate this but to once more raise the stakes, making it very clear who sets the standard when it comes to always compelling music that is equally brutal and complex. Moreover, the band have pushed themselves again, ensuring that it stands out from their catalog. “Throughout our career we’ve tried to improve the precision of both our musical execution and our album production, while still maintaining full-on aggression. ‘Red Before Black‘ continues in that direction, but might go even further on the aggressive side of things. It’s definitely precise, but it has a rawness to it that goes beyond anything we’ve done recently,” asserts bassist Alex Webster. “We really worked super hard crafting these songs, practicing them, and getting them where we wanted to be more so than on any of our previous albums,” adds drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. “And as Alex said, musically I think it’s the most raw sound we’ve had – and at the same time I think it’s our most focused, tightest and catchiest record.”

Morass Of Molasses Announces Lineup Change, New Tour Dates

Hot on the heels of a blistering performance on the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Bloodstock 2017, the Reading-based stoner/blues/doom outfit Morass Of Molasses just announced the six date “Motherfuzzers” tour.

Due to take place at the end of September, it will also feature seasoned touring veterans Trevor’s Head and new London based upstarts Green Lung. The band will be touring in support of recently-released album “These Paths We Tread.”

There have been changes going on behind the scenes since this year’s Bloodstock appearance. Drummer and founding member Chris “The Beast” West will be moving on from the band to pursue other adventures, with long-time band friend Raj Puni taking up the mantle of the Morass Of Molasses stick-smith-extraordinaire.

Bones (vocalist & guitarist) had this to say: “It is an exciting time of evolution for the band. Bloodstock this year was a real milestone for us, and with the change of lineup, the stars seem to have aligned to lead us into the next phase. We all wish Chris good luck in whatever he chooses to do next. He will always be our brother.”

Chris himself added, “I wish the guys all the best, and would like to thank the fans for all their support over the years. It has been a great experience and will remain a highlight in my life.”

(with Green Lung)
29.09.17 – Firebug, Leicester
30.09.17 – The Cluny 2, Newcastle
01.10.17 – The Black heart, London
(with Trevor’s Head)

Good Tiger reveals details for new album, ‘We Will All Be Gone’

– September 6th, 2017 –

Launches first single, “The Devil Thinks I’m Sinking”, online

On February 9th, Good Tiger will release their sophomore full-length, We Will All Be Gone, via Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records. For a preview of the album, the first single, “The Devil Thinks I’m Sinking”, can be heard at: metalblade.com/goodtiger – where the record can be pre-ordered in the following formats:

–Digipak CD
–180g Black Vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 500 copies)
–Flesh Pink Clear Vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 200 copies)
–Opaque Pale Pink Vinyl (USA exclusive – limited to 500 copies)

With music instantly accessed at the touch of a button, it seems that the urge to pigeonhole bands as quickly and neatly as possible has been driven to ever more extremes in recent years. Good Tiger, however, forge their own path. Blending their influences in a manner that defies lazy classification sets them apart from their contemporaries, imbuing everything they do with a distinctive sound and feel, and with We Will All Be Gone, Good Tiger have dramatically built upon their stunning debut, 2015′s A Head Full Of Moonlight. Comprised of guitarists Derya “Dez” Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles, bassist Morgan Sinclair, drummer Alex Rudinger and vocalist Elliot Coleman, Good Tiger has raised the stakes across the board – every track on We Will All Be Gone has a definitive character of its own, and none stay in a single gear, all of them dynamic and textured as they evoke various tones and moods. Tracking at Middle Farm Studios in southwest England, the band also recruited producer Forrester Savell (Karnivool/Dead Letter Circus), and engineer/mixer Adam “Nolly” Getgood (Periphery/Animals As Leaders). “We worked with Nolly on the last album, we had a great working relationship, and wanted to explore that further in a more developed situation,” Dez explains. “Forrester has made some of our favorite albums, and is someone we could trust steering the ship. Having self-produced for so long it can be at times quite difficult to let go, so it was important we found people we could fully entrust to help create the album we wanted to make.”

King Parrot Announces European Tour Dates With Decapitated

Australia’s notorious metal villains from King Parrot just revealed European tour plans in support of new studio album, “Ugly Produce/” The band will hit the road with death metal giants Decapitated for a 29-date run (including 10 dates in the U.K. alone) in October and November 2017. Additional support will come from Thy Disease and Venom Prison.

Vocalist Matt “Youngy” Young commented: “We’ve been working hard on our new album down in Australia, and we honestly believe this record is not only a continuation of our trademark sound, but a progression into new territory in terms of songwriting and musicianship. Couple that with the most off the wall videos we have ever produced, and I think we are really onto something with this new release.

“Most importantly we’re excited to bring these new tracks to the European audiences when we tour alongside Polish legends Decapitated through October and November. It will be an awesome and diverse tour package, featuring two bands from different spheres of the extreme metal world, bringing utter chaos to the stage each and every night! Be prepared for more over the top King Parrot absurdity than ever before, we are giving this one our all!”.

Enslaved Finishes Work On New Album

It is accomplished – the Norwegian progressive extreme metal crew Enslaved just completed the recording process on a 14th full-length album.

In the renowned Fascination Street Studios, Jens Bogren polished this new raw diamond with his mixing and mastering skills. Just like for predecessor “In Times” (reviewed here) the metal veterans from Bergen still never look back and keep on expanding their horizons.

“I’m always psyched and proud when we finish an album recording, and this is no exception!” states singer Grutle Kjellson. “It was a really exciting process this time, with the line-up change and everything, so although it wasn’t a dramatic change, the band dynamics were suddenly different. But, it was like a little re-boot, a fresh start so to speak. The studio sessions were great, and we all feel that we have done something truly amazing. We hope you’ll enjoy it. Ugh!”

Stay tuned for full info to arrive later in the summer. Enslaved will also be touring the UK and Ireland as support to Opeth in November:

Nov 15th – Manchester, O2 Ritz
Nov 16th – Glasgow, Barrowlands
Nov 17th – Belfast, Limelight
Nov 18th – Dublin, Academy
Nov 19th – Nottingham, Rock City
Nov 21st – Bristol, O2 Academy
Nov 22nd – Birmingham, O2 Institute
