GWAR delivers “State of The Union” and drops new song, “El Presidente”

– September 13th, 2017 –

The countdown is on as GWAR gets ready to release their bone-crushing, corpse-grinding new opus The Blood of Gods out October 20th via Metal Blade Records. As the world continues hurtling through space towards a great conflagration of death and destruction, your alien overlords have dropped “El Presidente,” the second single from the album. Hopefully this will speed things along! Head over to metalblade.com/gwar to listen to the track and pre-order your copy of The Blood Of Gods. Digital pre-orders come with instant downloads of both “Fuck This Place” and “El Presidente.”

Additionally Beefcake the Mighty, has issued a brief “State Of The GWAR Union” address. Watch it here: facebook.com

Concerning the album: The Blood of Gods chronicles the rise of humanity against their makers, and the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that oppose them. Along the way, the band challenges the sins of humanity from politics, pollution, and organized religion, to fast food, and factory farming. Humans are shown as what they are; a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry!

GWAR LIVES MOTHERFUCKERS!

Tetrarch Posts “Pull The Trigger” Clip

Trailblazing metal group Tetrarch is getting ready to kick off an upcoming tour with metal giants DevilDriver and fellow support artists 36 Crazyfists, Cane Kill, and Uncured this coming Friday, August 18th.

In anticipation of the tour kickoff, and the release of upcoming album “Freak” (due out September 29th), the band is thrilled to reveal another new track, entitled “Pull The Trigger.” Check it out below.

Guitarist Diamond Rowe tells AP: “There are so many people who struggle with mental illness and have inner battles with self-worth, and ‘Pull the Trigger’ is about just that… we wanted this video to just essentially be a plethora of clips of things that can cause people to attract negative feelings in this day and age, whether its drugs, politics, relationships, etc. While I don’t struggle with these things, all of us in this band have people close to us that do, so I think it touches home for us and a lot of other people.”

The Austin doom-crushers from Destroyer Of Light have updated their summer tour, which begins in just one week, then consumes the remainder of June and nearly half of July.

This new trek sees Destroyer Of Light taking the “Endsville” anthems back out to the masses, beginning in Fort Worth on June 16th, then running up through the Central and Midwestern states to the Pacific Northwest, before running down the West Coast on their way back to Texas, the final show going down in the band’s hometown on July 11th.

Following the recent departure of Keegan Kjeldsen, these tour dates will see Destroyer Of Light taking to the streets as a three-piece for the first time, with Jeff Klein handling lead guitars, Steve Colca on guitars and vocals, and Penny turner on drums.

The band is now also working on a new album, which will see release in early 2017 on a label to be announced at a later date along with more info on the permanent lineup.
