Swedish melodic death metal band Hypocrisy is confirmed to headline at Inferno Metal Festival 2019.

Swedish death metal band Hypocrisy was formed all the way back in 1991. Hypocrisy is one of the most important bands within the Swedish death metal scene – as they paved the way for the more melodic sound that the Swedish death metal scene would be world wide famous for in the late 90s. Founding member Peter Tägtgren is not only a multi-instrumentalist, also known from bands like Pain, Lindemann, Bloodbath and Lock Up, he is also one of Swedish best known producers and the owner of The Abyss Studio. Hypocrisy will perform at Inferno Metal Festival for the first time in 2019.

Bloodbath Premiere New Track “Bloodicide” – Carcass, Ex-Bolt Thrower & Cancer Members Guest

Bloodbath premire a new track called “Bloodicide”. The song is off of their upcoming new album, “The Arrow Of Satan Is Drawn“, out October 26th via Peaceville. Guesting on this new track are Jeff Walker (Carcass), Karl Willetts (Memoriam/ex-Bolt Thrower) and John Walker (Cancer).

Comments Bloodbath‘s frontman Nick Holmes (also Paradise Lost) :

“The lads play a part in representing the backbone of the old school British Death Metal scene, which has also been a big influence on Bloodbath since the beginning.”

Says Jeff Walker:

“I owed Nick a tenner, so he told me instead of sending the bailiffs round he would kindly let me pay off my debt by contributing vocals to his new album. Imagine my great disappoint when I found out it wasn’t for THAT band but, was in fact for Bloodbath. I have great faith in him that my vocals will be lower than his in the mix.”

Adds Willetts:

“I have known Nick Holmes for over 30 years – so when he asked me to do some vocals for the new Bloodbath album how could I refuse? The opportunity to do things like this in life don’t often come twice so I am really pleased to contribute in a small way to this legendary opus!”

States John Walker :

“Bloodbath is an amazing band and I’ve had the chance to do some vocals for their new, killer album along with eff Walker and Karl Willetts. It’s been a bloody honour and a lot of fun!!”

Bloodbath Forced To Postpone North American Tour Due To Visa Issues

Due to visa issues Bloodbath had to postpone their planned North American tour that was scheduled to kickoff this week. The group released the below statement:

“It’s with an immense mix of anger, frustration and sadness that we’re forced to announce the following news…

We will not be flying out tomorrow to begin our first North American tour we all so much looked forward to playing.

We’ve been rehearsing and preparing this for months and our gear and bags are packed ready by the doorstep, but sadly due to the US Immigration and Embassy making a mistake with our visas, they couldn’t fix it in time and reissue it.

We hoped we never would have to make this kind of announcement, we were still trusting they would issue it in time to the very bitter end, but now with less than 24hrs to go, we have to accept our fate, it ain’t gonna happen.

We’re so sorry for all of you who bought a ticket and made plans to come see Bloodbath!

On any kind of positive note, we WILL be rescheduling (nothing else is acceptable!) and prepare to play the tour as soon as possible. More news on refunds etc. ASAP.”

Vallenfyre Premieres New Music Video “The Merciless Tide” From Brand New Album “Fear Those Who Fear Him”

Crusty death/doom metal outfit Vallenfyre premieres a new music video for “The Merciless Tide”, taken from the band’s brand new album “Fear Those Who Fear Him”, out in stores now via Century Media. The video was directed by Ash Pears (Paradise Lost, Bloodbath).

Check out now “The Merciless Tide” below.

Comments vocalist/guitarist Gregor Mackintosh (also Paradise Lost):

“‘The Merciless Tide‘ is about the relentless march of time and also wishing you could be in someone else’s shoes to save them suffering. In the video we see a man going through immense suffering over a long period of time, never being able to grasp the things he craves, whilst faceless tormentors observe in indifference. This is incredibly grim, so enjoy.”
