Hells Headbangers Inks Deal With Krossfyre, New Song Available For Streaming

Hells Headbangers announces the signing of Spain’s Krossfyre. The first fruit of this union shall be the band’s six-song debut EP, “Burning Torches.” Check out the new song “Fire Solution,” which also reveals the cover art, in the player below. The release date for the EP will be announced soon.

Krossfyre formed only last year, but set to work on writing and recording “Burning Torches,” completing the six-song/20-minute EP last September at Moontower Studios. Although an otherwise brand-new name, Krossfyre include among their ranks members who do or have done time in such bands as Sheidim, Spain’s Graveyard, Körgull the Exterminator, Insulters, Morbid Flesh, and Suspiral.

References to be made include classic Nifelheim and Vomitor, but also early Tribulation, later Desaster, Gospel of the Horns, Bestial Mockery, and Nocturnal Graves among others. But the sheer charisma and cantankerous esprit Krossfyre exude – not to mention infectious, gloriously METAL songwriting – puts the band squarely amongst those hallowed ranks. Early days still, to be sure, but on evidence of the forthcoming “Burning Torches,” the name Krossfyre will soon be upon the tongues of diehards worldwide soon enough.

A statement from the band reads: “Playing blackened heavy/thrash evil music, Hells Headbangers was our very first choice for obvious reasons. It is the home of Hobbs’ Angel of Death, Vomitor, and Blood Feast just to name a few of an endless list. No other label can presume to have such a strong, high profile and respected roster, especially these days where labels need to adapt to new trends or disappear. We put all our energy and effort into Burning Torches, and we’re sure that Hells Headbangers will know how to push it the way it deserves!”

Release Date For Comeback Album “The Future State Of Wicked” Announced By Blood Feast

New Jersey thrash act Blood Feast will rise from a 28 year slumber with the release of the highly anticipated third full-length album, “The Future State Of Wicked.” The follow up to 1989’s “Chopping Block Blues” is set for international release on April 14th via Hells Headbangers.

Blood Feast fans old and new will not be disappointed by “The Future State of Wicked,” as the “holy trinity” of releases from the band’s early days – Kill For Pleasure (1987), the Face Fate EP (1988) and Chopping Block Blues (1990) – inform much of the new album. All the speed, brutality, and twists ‘n’ turns Blood Feast is known for are intact and in your face (nine of the 10 songs being written by original guitarist Adam Tranquilli), yet updated with modern production. Joining Adam are vocalist Chris Natalini and bassist Tom Lorenzo, along with some new blood in Joe Moore (drums) and CJ Scioscia (guitar).

Blood Feast was formed by Adam Tranquilli, Gary Markowich (vocals), Kevin Kuzma (drums), and Lou Starita (bass) in 1985 as Blood Lust. They quickly wrote and recorded the classic four-song demo, “The Suicidal Missions.” Shortly after, they became a five-piece with the addition of Michael Basden on guitar. The band was then approached by New Renaissance Records to contribute songs to the Thrash Metal Attack (“Menacing Thunder”) and Speed Metal Hell 3 (“The Suicidal Missions”). This prompted the name change to Blood Feast. New Renaissance then offered a record deal, which led to the recording of the classic “Kill For Pleasure” album and a US tour with Death Angel. The “Face Fate” EP quickly followed.

Shortly after writing and recording the proposed second album, Adam left the band. The remaining four members then re-recorded these songs, which became the album “Chopping Block Blues.” The band broke up shortly after the album’s release in early 1990.

The five-man Blood Feast reunited for an appearance at the NJ March Metal Meltdown in 1999, but further activity was not to be. A second reunion began in 2007, albeit only with original members Tranquilli and Kuzma. Both Lorenzo and Natalini came on board in 2010, just in time for the band’s first appearance at Headbangers Open Air in Germany (the band was invited back in 2013). During this stretch, Adam began writing new material, with the band even playing an early version of “INRI” at select shows.

The track list for the album is:

1. INRI (song streaming here)
2. Off With Their Heads
3. Brethren
4. By The Slice
5. The Underling
6. Last Rites
7. Who Prays For the Devil
8. Nein
9. Remnants II
10. The Burn
