Anima Damnata Inks Record Deal With Godz Ov War Productions / Malignant Voices

A new covenant between Anima Damnata and the unholy Godz Ov War Productions / Malignant Voices syndicate has been signed.

Springing forth from that covenent, an album titled “Nefarious Seed Grows to Bring Forth Supremacy of the Beast” shall flood this putrid world in late autumn.

The album will be available on CD, LP, and digital formats, with the full track listing, cover art, and other details are to be unveiled soon.

For now, the band just released a first single off the new album — check out “Through Abomination ‘Till Ecstasy” below. Godz Ov War Productions comments:

“Saying this album has long been waited for would not be enough. Saying this album has come up expectations would not be enough all the more. Anima Damnata delivers the most evil and furious blackened death metal… Totally killing blast beats, schizophrenic guitar, crushing bass guitar parts and sepulchral vocals make you think of the greatest of the genre!”

Sxuperion Premieres New Music Video For Title Track Of Upcoming New EP “Myriad”

Cosmic blackened death metal unit Sxuperion premieres a new music video for the title track of the band’s upcoming new EP “Myriad”, which will be out in stores September 1st via Bloody Mountain.

Check out now “Myriad” below.

Explains Sxuperion’s sole member Matthew S.:

“Three albums and one EP will conclude the Sxuperion – Cosmic Corridors series of dark, atmospheric death metal and space-ambient music,” “This video that I made for the song ‘Myriad’ is a story of myself as a space traveler that falls to Earth in the present day. I look around, and I guess I don’t like what I see, with the weakening of the human spirit and intellect due to technology and greed and shallow materialistic lust. Or the empty religions warning people not to look with open eyes. I choose to dig deeper into my soul so I can grow and not rely on a false sense of attachment in order to get more attention or more empty ‘things’. I want to destroy that decaying part of our world and travel to the beast within where everything one might need can be found.”

Cormorant Releases First Song From New Album “Diaspora”

Slated to drop this August, “Diaspora” is the imminent new full-length album from progressive blackened death collective Cormorant. In advance of its release, today first single and opening track “Preserved In Ash” is offered up for public feasting.

Recorded and mixed by Greg Wilkinson (Vastum, Graves At Sea, Noothgrush, Brainoil) at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, California, the expansive four-track, sixty-one-minute offering features the band’s longest, most detail-oriented compositions to date.

“‘Preserved In Ash’ is the last song we wrote for the album,” elaborates guitarist/vocalist Matt Solis, “but as it was coming together it became clear that it fit perfectly as a lead-off track. Lyrically, it’s about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, which buried the city of Pompeii in volcanic ash. There’s a lot of psychedelic black metal and funeral doom stuff going on in this song, and Greg Wilkinson’s crushing production allowed us to establish a good balance between those two tonalities.”

1. Preserved In Ash
2. Sentinel
3. The Devourer
4. Migration
