Metallica Announces Record Store Day Show At Rasputin Music

Grammy Award-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Metallica will perform live at Berkeley, CA’s Rasputin Music on Saturday, April 16th in celebration of Record Store Day 2016.

As this year’s Record Store Day Ambassadors, the band invites fans to join them on this special day to experience the passion for music that lives on in local record stores around the world.

“Getting loud, noisy and sweaty at Rasputin’s on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley transports Metallica right back to the core of its Bay Area beginnings,” said Metallica’s Lars Ulrich. “We can’t wait to celebrate Record Store Day while shaking up the East Bay old-school style.”

Rasputin Music customers and Met Club members are invited to be in the audience by entering to win tickets to this very intimate performance. There are two ways to win:

1. Visit Rasputin Music in Berkeley between now and April 10th to fill out a ballot for your chance to win one ticket to the special performance.

Rude Signs To FDA Rekotz For “Soul Recall” Release

FDA Rekotz is releasing “Soul Recall,” the debut album from Berkeley, CA death metal act Rude.
“Soul Recall,” featuring artwork by Dan Seagrave, will be released on CD, vinyl and digital formats on May 30th via FDA Rekotz. The first pressing of the vinyl edition will be limited to 150 copies in pus yellow and 350 copies in plague black vinyl. Stream album track “Haunted” below.

The Body Kicking Off New California Tour Dates

Hot off of a recent tour through the Central and Northeast U.S. regions in support of the “Master, We Perish” EP, nomadic duo The Body is set to embark on a newest auditory warfare excursion this weekend.

This Sunday, June 30th, The Body will join Los Crudos, Iron Lung, Talk Is Poison and more at This Is Not a Step Fest in Berkeley, California. Just a few days later, The Body will converge with Subservient Fuck for a counter-clockwise slice of touring, beginning in Arcata, California, crossing North to Portland and Seattle and then south through Western Cali with stops in Oakland, La Puente, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego and Sacramento confirmed.

Autopsy Posts Live Studio Stream Online

Autopsy is currently holed up at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, CA to record material for the upcoming “All Tomorrow’s Funerals” release. The band is currently streaming footage from today’s studio session online, which can be found at this location.

The upcoming “All Tomorrow’s Funerals” release will include previous EP tracks remastered by the band as well as new cuts, totalling 21 tracks all together, along with new cover artwork from Matt Cavotta.

The release date for “All Tomorrow’s Funerals” is tentatively set for March of 2012, with further details to be announced as they are made available.
