Soulrot Streaming Full New Album “Nameless Hideous Manifestations”

In an endless quest to push and support current underground acts that perpetuate the odor of vintage death metal, on April 24th, Memento Mori is proud to present the debut full-length of Chile’s Soulrot, titled “Nameless Hideous Manifestations.” Today the full album has come online and can be heard below.

Within Our Gates Releases New Single “Sleepers Wake”

In anticipation for an upcoming 2015 EP release, the melodic metal quintet known as Within Our Gates has released a brand new song.

The first taste of new music since 2012’s “Kingdom Of Mind” is entitled “Sleepers Wake” and is a small preview of what to expect from the band in 2015. Check out the track below.

“Sleepers Wake” was written to picture a devastating moment in the life of guitarist Hunter Carter. The song depicts the story of Hunter’s closest friend being involved in a horrible car accident that rendered him in a long lasting coma.

The lyrics to the song come from the perspective of Hunter and what he wanted to say to his old friend as he lie comatose. After writing the lyrics for what would be the newest Within Our Gates single, Hunter’s friend has since waken up and now is in recovery.

Matthias Voigt Shoots Down Rumors Of Performing On New Carcass Album

Rumors have been circulating online that Carcass is working on a new album that would feature Heaven Shall Burn’s Matthias Voigt.

Heaven Shall Burn has now posted the following statement online denying these unsubstantiated claims:

“Blabbermouth.net is really cool, but sometimes rumors are just rumors. Heaven Shall Burn’s Matthias is 100% NOT playing for CARCASS!

“Everybody in HSB maintains the status as devoted Carcass-fan and does not even dare to dream of being involved with this legend!”

There has been no statement of any kind from Carcass or any of the members involved with the band at this point, so it’s unclear if an album was actually in the works or not. If a new album were coming, it would be the first studio full-length from the band since the 1996 release “Swansong.”
