Advent Of Bedlam Releases “Creatures Of Yore” Lyric Video

After releasing new single “Creatures of Yore” and joining Destroyer 666 on a face-melting Mexican tour, Advent Of Bedlam now officially premieres a lyric video for the track.

“Creatures of Yore” will not only give you the metal fix you’ve been looking for but also showcases some mysterious ancient art that’s portrayed through the band’s lyrics and music. Advent Of Bedlam also comments on recent live shows:

“As a Latin American band and because of the buzz surrounding D666 before the tour, we were really intrigued about how this experience would be. After sharing stage, hotels, van, meals and beers with them, all we can do is confirm what Mike Hamilton (Deeds of Flesh) said to us in Slovakia where we were having some backline problems when sharing stage with Exhumed, Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind: ‘This is the Underground and in the Underground bands supports bands.’ Both experiences were milestones for us and have allowed Advent of Bedlam to grow tremendously as a band.”

Motorhead Postpones European Tour Dates

Motorhead recently dropped new album “Aftershock” (reviewed here), but European fans are going to have to wait to see the new material presented live.

After canceling festival appearances earlier this year due to health issues with front man Lemmy, now the band has posted the following message online about postponing upcoming European dates:

“I have to sadly let you know that Motörhead has had to postpone the forthcoming European tour until early next year, 2014.

“We have made the decision because I am not quite ready to hit the road yet, and am working my way back to full fitness and rude health. Don’t worry – I’m not about to start promoting veganism and alcohol-free beverages, but it is fair to say that I personally have been reconfiguring areas of my life to make sure I can come back fitter and stronger than ever.

“It disappointed me tremendously to have to say I wasn’t quite ready to hit the road yet, but not nearly as much as it would’ve disappointed me to go out, play some average shows and watch my health give way long before the tour was over! When people come to see a Motörhead tour, they expect a Motörhead show, and that is exactly what you will get as soon as I am fit and ready to rumble.

“Your patience and understanding is appreciated…and know that I’m getting stronger and stronger every day, so watch out next spring Europe and we will see you then.”

White Wizzard Splits With Earache Records

After splitting with the band’s vocalist in the middle of a tour and then abruptly cancelling the remaining dates despite finding a replacement, White Wizzard has now also split with record label Earache. The band posted this message online via Facebook:

“Excited to announce that we will be going independent and we have mutually parted company with Earache records. We wish them the best.

“This has been a decision made before the tour over the past couple of months. I appreciate the initial interest in White Wizzard and hope other bands that are with them do well. I am currently in the process of forming my own record label which shall be called White Wizzard records. I plan to form a couple of other projects next year.

“The guys in the band will now have an actual vested interest in making some $ from album sales and our merchandise which is fantastic. I will be releasing a blog soon with some advice on record labels and how I think most bands should avoid that road and the pros and cons. One silver lining is we have had some great singers come forward with interest and I think we should be announcing someone within a few days, and I wrote a song I am excited about yesterday and am about to get on a writing tear I believe.

“While guys that have been fired by me that have an agenda will continue to spew nonsense and lies trying to stir the pot and hurt the band, I will continue to write songs and put out music. We will not keep the shit flying back and forth. We will just wish them well and get on with it. I know the music is what counts and it is why I got into this, not for the dumb shit. The fans do not want to hear the crap, they want to hear good songs.

“In the end the truth is on our side and our intentions are nothing more than to make great music. Here is to a positive outlook in the coming months.”

Necronomicon Bassist To Miss Tour Dates Due To Injury

Canada’s Necronomicon is gearing up to head off on tour, but the band has now checked in with the following announcement about being down a bass player:

“We are really not happy to announce that our session bass player David McGregore had an unfortunate accident last night while getting ready to rehearse with the band.

“Injuries due to his latest car accident are aggravated and he still at the hospital. David wont be able to play for a while and as consequences will not be with the band when they leave Montreal tomorrow.

“Necronomicon will NOT cancel the tour and the band is working hard to find an alternative on how to fill the bass spot in the short amount of time left before the tour starts.

“Hang it there David. Thanks for your support.”

Necronomicon will be touring in support of the “Rise of the Elder Ones” album (reviewed here). The band will be hitting the road with Deicide and Broken Hope for the October tour dates. Full details can be found at this location.
