Onslaught Posts New Album Update, Announces Bloodstock Set

British thrash metal legends Onslaught has checked in with an update confirming that progress on a new album is well underway, despite recently losing two members and that they will debut a new song during their set at this year’s edition of the Bloodstock Open Air festival. The post reads as follows:

“The countdown to the new Onslaught Album starts now! Songs have been written, demo tracks recorded and the thrashing machine is racing forward at full throttle. With a release date set before the end of 2018 this is shaping up to be Onslaughts most vicious and hard hitting thrash metal attack yet!

“The lead up for the new Onslaught album quite rightly kicks off at the UK’s most mighty and relevant Heavy Metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air! A Powerful and Brutal show is promised along with the world’s debut of a brand new Onslaught track taken from the forthcoming recording on AFM Records.

“Get your mosh on and get in the pit!

“Onslaught have always loved playing the UK’s finest metal festival, Bloodstock, and this year the show is going to be something special indeed! We’ll see you maniacs at the front!

“On another note both Mic and Iain made the decision to leave Onslaught soon after the last tour finished in order to concentrate on their other bands and projects. We’d like to thank them for all of the hard work they put in over the last few years and wish them all the very best.

“So… saying that, the new guys are kicking major amounts of heavy metal backside right now and they will be announced to you all very soon. Believe me, the band has never sounded so aggressive and so focused! We can’t wait to unleash the new reign of violence for you at Bloodstock. It’s going to be epic and very, very explosive!”

Video Clip For New Song “Last Before The End” Posted By Game Over

Italian thrash metal heroes Game Over posted a video clip for the first single for the upcoming release “Claiming Supremacy,” which drops on on November 17th via Scarlet Records. Check out the music video for “Last Before the End” in the playerb elow.

Inspired by the classic Bay Area thrash metal scene of the 80’s, Game Over mixes those influences with modern sounds and a very distinctive personality. “Claiming Supremacy” is the perfect combination of the band’s furious riffing, hardcore attitude and classic metal influences, with very obscure lyrics and, of course, those anthemic choruses that fans recognize as a band trademark.

The album has been mixed and mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust), who has previously worked with Midnight, SunnO))), Poison Idea, Integrityand many more. “Claiming Supremacy,” which will be released in Japan by Marquee, will also be available in a vinyl version limited to 500 copies.

Of Men And Angels Flesh Calling It Quits

OMAAF (Of Men And Angels Flesh) has decided to call it quits after a decade of playing. The band issued this statement to fans:

“Time for the important announcement. After much contemplation, we have decided to go no further with OMAAF. We’ve been together for 10 amazing years and have played many unforgettable shows with many unforgettable bands. We planned on recording another album but this is just not the time. As it stands, the Obituary show we played earlier this year was our last show.

“Thank you to all the people who have supported us throughout the years. I wish we could’ve given all of you more before the end. In the meantime check out Adlet featuring Casey and Jason. Also check back with us one more time in the near future for a very important update on a future project.

“Again, thank you to all the fans, our friends and family, the local bands, David Jones and Reaction Media, Music City Booking, the amazing venues in Alabama and everyone who was with us since the beginning and throughout this adventure. OMAAF will from now on be on indefinite hiatus but this is not the end of our music career. Thank you so much.”

Aborted And Guitarist Danny Tunker Have Parted Ways.

View post on imgur.com

Aborted just announced Danny Tunker’s departure via the following official statement:

“So sometimes there’s good news and sometimes there’s not so good news. Today is one of the not so good news days. After three amazing years guitarist Danny Tunker decided he needed to step back from the band and pursue a different path in life. Combining a normal life and day job became too stressful to combine with our heavy schedule and even if we are sad to see him go, we completely understand his decision and support him in doing what makes him happy in life.

We had 3 great years with Danny and we all felt like a big family so we ask you all to show respect towards both Danny, his decision and the band, there is no bad blood, there is no need for any drama or gossip, Danny had the following to day:

“After a lot of soul searching for the past few months I’ve decided to part ways with Aborted. It’s been a hell of a ride and I want to thank to guys for all the good, bad and in between times. There’s no bad blood and I wish the band all the best, but I needed a change. I will still play the shows in Cairo and Tel Aviv and then on to different ventures (several of which I’m working on right now). And of course continue/expand my involvement with Alkaloid. So, once again, thanks to the band and everyone who made the past 3+ years completely unforgettable.”

Continues Aborted:

“We will be trying out several candidates in the next few weeks and fear not, none of the shows will be cancelled. We are working hard on the next fullength album and we have another surprise to be unleashed before the end of the year. So even if this something we didn’t want to happen, things go on and we intend to keep giving 200% for all you guys out there and wish Danny all the best with his new endeavours.”
