Wvrm To Embark On December Tour Supporting “Can You Hear The Wind Howl” EP

Greenville, South Carolina-based outfit Wvrm has announced a run of North American December tour dates supporting their newly unleashed EP, “Can You Hear The Wind Howl”.

Deploying six tracks in barely nine minutes, Wvrm’s “Can You Hear The Wind Howl” is a brutally-charged and volatile display of metallic grindcore unrest. Wvrm’s caustic tones, belittling percussion, and searing vocals coalesce into an onslaught fans of Dead In The Dirt, The Drip, Torch Runner, and similar acts should not pass by. Can You Hear The Wind Howl was recorded at Converse Rubber Tracks, engineered and mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge, Black Breath, Sect), mastered by Brad Boatright (Integrity, All Pigs Must Die, Nails), completed with artwork by Searing Limb, and released in late September through To Live A Lie Records.

Wvrm’s “Can You Hear The Wind Howl” can be streamed in its entirety below:

New video trailer revealed from Dimebag Darrell’s ‘Dimevision Vol. 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over’ DVD/CD

– November 7th, 2017 –

Everyone loves sneak peeks! Today, Guitar World presents a special, exclusive trailer from the upcoming video memorial set, Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over, out November 24th via Metal Blade Records. Watch the exclusive trailer – which includes raw footage of Dimebag Darrell in his performance element – and read quotes from Rita Haney here: guitarworld.com/artists/dimevision-2-trailer

Rita Haney tells Guitar World: “Dime is true reality TV, way before any of what goes on today was even a concept! He didn’t need someone to script in a scenario or stage in a moment to make his life appear more interesting…He created these moments himself, 24/7! He had a gift for noticing the beauty in everything, and when I say ‘beauty,’ I mean ‘catchin’ a nut’ on all his surroundings! Life like ‘that’ goes on around you all the time, you just gotta see it and catch it. And he did! And he made the most of it, always! That’s exactly what we mean by the term ‘Dimevision‘.”

Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over is a follow up to the poignant first Dimebag Darrell video memorial set Dimevision Vol 1: That’s The Fun I Have, and is another true celebration of Dimebag and how he lived his life. The DVD/CD set – which will include more raw footage, true gems and classic moments – will hit retailers on November 24th. The set will also include five previously unreleased demos, picked from a vast catalog Dimebag accrued since longtime girlfriend Rita Haney gave him his first 4-track in 1984. Dimebag’s personally-written lyrics, dates and notes on those tracks will also be included.

Pre-orders for Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over are now available via Metal Blade at: metalblade.com/dimevision. A PledgeMusic campaign has also been launched to support the release of the set, also acting as a pre-order. The PledgeMusic campaign includes an assortment of rare items to buy, including props and costumes that belonged to Dimebag and that you can see in his home videos/Dimevision volumes, rare stage clothing, and other merchandise. Visit the PledgeMusic page here: pledgemusic.com/projects/dimevision2

Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over continues in the same vein as Dimevision Vol 1: That’s The Fun I Have with the inclusion of hilarious video segments that will bring back great memories for any fan of Dimebag Darrell and his bands. Check out two other exclusive clips revealed from the set, the first including a very interesting CPAP machine fitting clip, and another showcasing a few of Dime’s favorite costumes and props available in the PledgeMusic pre-order.

Going into making Dimevision Vol 2: Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over, Rita Haney worked in collaboration with Daryl “Bobby Tongs” Arnberger, who was not only one of Dimebag’s closest friends both on and off the road, but also worked as an official videographer for Pantera, Damageplan and a plethora of A-list musicians, from Slipknot to Dolly Parton, along with film editor Rob Fenn. After cataloguing hundreds of tapes, they chose 43 segments to create Dimevision Vol. 2.

“He had a unique way of seeing things, and he always lived with a video camera,” says Haney. “No matter where we went he was always capturing what was going on, and myself and others around him were filming a lot too. In putting out these videos I just want people to see the way he was, 24/7. What you saw on stage and backstage, that was how he lived.”

Haney adds, “There were some really touching, deep, heavy and emotional moments in the first one, where he’s talking about himself to the camera while in the shower. Filming himself like that was something he did a lot, and you’d have no clue until you’re looking through the tapes and come across them, and when you do the goosebumps crawl all over you. People that love and know Darrell are going to be touched by what he has to say, because it’s him telling you for the first time.”

While every track on The Grand Annihilation stands separate from those around it, it is still a cohesive collection, and at no point do the stylistic twists and turns undermine its coherence. The blasting, scathing yet melodic black metal savagery of opener “Black Sun Horizon” and “Way Of The Storm” are very much built to destroy, while wielding a poignancy that is undeniable – both of which stand in strong contrast to the uncomfortable post-punk squall of “Underneath” that showcases front-man Mike Hill’s Nick Cave/Ian Curtis-esque singing voice, while the likes of the throbbing “Saturnalian” and unnerving tribal thunder of “Walk With Me In Nightmares” stand in categories all of their own.

Cattle Decapitation Premieres European Tour Documentary

Cattle Decapitation has shared a new documentary filmed during the band’s European touring this past summer. Guitarist Josh Elmore had the following to say of it:

“For several years now, fans have been asking the band to release a video chronicle with live performance footage and enhanced or ‘behind the scenes’ documentation. During a recent European run, our friend Paul McGuire of Obscenery Films traveled with the band and captured glimpses of what day-to-day life on the road is like for Cattle Decapitation and spoke with the members as they reflected on years of touring and what their future holds. The result is an entertaining, humorous and informative documentary that shows the band as a live entity and also what goes on during their down time on tour; play-throughs, interviews, concert chaos, Euro-tourism and more. We hope you enjoy it!”

The band is currently out on the road now on a North American tour with Revocation, Full Of Hell and more:

10/20 Edmonton, AB – Starlite
10/21 Calgary, AB – Dickens
