Napalm Records Signs New Zealand’s Stalker

Welcome back to the glory of the 80s! And a very warm welcome to Napalm Records’ latest worldwide signing: Stalker!

This band is a wild trip to the old days of raw thrash metal with heavy driven songs at full speed! The fearless three-piece from the beautiful home of New Zealand is set to release a most sinister monster of an album – “Shadow Of The Sword” – on November 17th.

The band on the signing with Napalm Records: “Stalker are thrilled to have formed an alliance with Napalm Records, and with the label’s rock solid support we can’t wait to break out from New Zealand’s far flung shores and unleash our speed metal mayhem the world over. All of us in the band pay tribute to label Underground Power for releasing our initial Satanic Panic demo. Now, with the formidable forces of Napalm Records backing us, we’re set to deliver an even more powerful and demolishing release with our upcoming debut full-length, Shadow of the Sword. Dowse the fires, hide the booze, Stalker and Napalm are coming for you. STRIKE FIRST, STRIKE HARD, NO MERCY!”

Stay tuned for more information on the album.

Steelheart Releases “You Got Me Twisted” Music Video

Steelheart will release new album “Through Worlds Of Stardust” on September 15th via Frontiers Music Srl. A video for album track “You Got Me Twisted” has now come online today and can be seen below. Of the video, Miljenko Matijevic told Ultimate Classic Rock:

“This video was so much fun to make! It is funny, sexy, and rock ‘n roll, as it should be. The scenes in the mansion were filmed at a famous old house which was the home of English film director James Whale during the making of his four classic films: Frankenstein (1931), The Old Dark House (1932), The Invisible Man (1933), and Bride of Frankenstein (1935).

“The performance scenes were filmed in downtown Los Angeles. My film team and the beautiful actress and model, Shonda Mackey did an amazing job on the video! I am truly excited for the world to see it and I hope you all like the video as much as we had fun making it!”

Scuorn Premieres New Music Video For “Sepeithos” From Latest Album “Parthenope”

Neapolitan symphonic black metal band Scuorn premieres a new music video for “Sepeithos”, taken from the band’s latest album “Parthenope”, which was released in February through the Dusktone label. The release was recorded, mixed, and mastered at the 16th Cellar Studio in Rome by Stefano “Saul” Morabito (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance, etc.).

Check out now “Sepeithos” below.

Explains Scuorn:

“The song reveals the legend of gods Vesevo (the volcano Vesuvius) and Sebeto (Sepeithos in ancient greek, a river who used to divide the city of Neapolis from its older part Palepolis). The giants battled over the beautiful daughter of Neputune, Leucopetra, spreading destruction all around: Vesevo was spitting torrents of fire, while Sebeto smashed stones into a water causing it to splash and to put out the flames. Their presence and dominance were respected and honored by the first Neapolitan settlers, who handed down their lore through the centuries.”

Oddland Releases Acoustic “Unknown” Video

Finnish progressive metal outfit Oddland has issued a newly-filmed video this week, ahead of the band’s European tour with label mates Wolverine and Until Rain, which kicks off this Wednesday.

Oddland’s new video was filmed and edited by Ville Viitanen for a brand new acoustic version of “Unknown,” which initially appeared in a fully heavy/electric version of the band’s second album, “Origin,” released in September 2016 through Laser’s Edge division Sensory Records.

Issues the band on this acoustic version of the song: “We’ve been fiddling around with acoustics every now and then and really fell in love with the idea of making an acoustic version of a song on Origin. ‘Unknown’ seemed the most fitting candidate, and luckily, we were able to book the beautiful medieval castle of our hometown Turku to record this performance. It was really the perfect choice with the haunting ambience and enchantingly echoing stone walls.”

Catch Oddland live on these upcoming 2017 tour dates:

4/26/2017 The Bodega – Nottingham, UK w/ Wolverine, Until Rain
4/27/2017 Garage Highbury – London, UK w/ Wolverine, Until Rain
