“There was a man in Amstetten [Austria] who hid a family with his daughter in a basement for 24 years,” Russian Baths offer about the track. “He said he always knew it wasn’t right, but allowed it to become a normal occurrence. Rationalization is very problematic.”

Black Breath Streaming In-Studio Session For “The Waiting Room”

Seattle’s metal outfit Black Breath has posted an in-studio session for “The Waiting Room”. The footage was filmed at The Panda Studios in Fremont, CA with Sam Pura (The Story So Far, Basement) producing, mixing and mastering the audio. Two songs were played: “The Flame” and “Slaves Beyond Death”.

Between the Buried and Me reveals details for new DVD/Blu-ray, ‘Coma Ecliptic: Live’

On April 28th, Between the Buried and Me will release their new DVD/Blu-ray, Coma Ecliptic: Live, via Metal Blade Records, in association with Good Fight Entertainment. The concert, which features the band performing their latest album, Coma Ecliptic, in its entirety, was filmed live on location October 4th, 2016 at The Observatory North Park in San Diego, CA.

Bassist Dan Briggs comments: “The genesis of the ‘Coma Ecliptic‘ filming was based around capturing the look and feel of the show our lighting director Chris Hill produced for the full album set. It’s such an important record for us and our progression as a band and the visual representation captures the moods of our tragic tale so well. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the last two years we’ve been living with this album day in and day out!”

Higher Power Posts “Can’t Relate” Music Video

Flatspot Records has confirmed the May 19th release of “Soul Structure,” the debut LP from Leeds, UK-based hardcore outfit Higher Power, and today a video comes online for “Can’t Relate.”

Bursting with old-school NYHC groove and West Coast crossover, Higher Power’s “Soul Structure” LP is about positive expression of aggression and a form of escapology. It’s about finding a positive outlet for anger, whether it’s social issues or mental health. The album was recorded by Misha Hering at Holy Mountain, with vocals recorded by James Atkinson at Mutiny Studios. The album was mixed by Arthur Rizk at Salomons Gate and mastered by Joel Grind, with artwork by Sam Bailey.

Higher Power has booked a long list of new shows for the months ahead surrounding the LP’s release, with a widespread U.K. tour alongside Basement happening from February 28th through March 10th. April 11th through 16th will see Higher Power playing alongside Terror on a tour of Germany and Belgium, and performing at Outbreak Fest in the group’s hometown of Leeds.

Forca Macabra Posts “Medo Pesado” Video Clip

Long-running cult Força Macabra today reveals new video “Medo Pesado.” The track hails from the band’s latest “25 Anos,” released last month by Svart Records.

Força Macabra’s anniversary album, “25 Anos – Na Estrada Mas Por Favor Näo Feche O Túmulo Ainda” is the perfect gift for any discerning connoisseur of Southern American-influenced thrashcore.

The album was originally recorded in 2011 and meant to be a 20-year anniversary album, but it’s taken an extra five years to carry this monolith out of the basement and into the open. The full track listing is as follows:
