Upon first listen it is immediately apparent that OBLITERATE will soon find themselves dominating Canadian metal scene.

Seeing what was getting prepared, Artery Global quickly offered us to hop on their roster and have already confirmed awesome stuff for us in 2018. Keep your ears and eyes open, we are coming.”

North Hammer Debut New Song “Wanderer” From Upcoming New Album “Stormcaller”

Created by Andrew James of Edmonton, AB’s Eye of Horus and Shotgunner, his new project, one man folk metal band NORTH HAMMER is drawing inspiration from the mighty Quorthon; for Andrew is not so much a one-man band as a one-warrior metal machine. Andrew wrote and recorded the guitar, bass, vocals, and orchestration along with drums done by Doug Helcaraxë Nunez for NORTH HAMMER’s forthcoming debut album “Stormcaller” set for release on March 16th, 2018.

Today NORTH HAMMER is premiering their next track “Wanderer”, which can be heard below:

Andrew explains the significance of his band’s name:

“The ‘north’ part was a representation of the common theme winter that comes up in metal music, including folk metal. It is also a reference to my native Canada. ‘Hammer’ is a reference to Mjolnir, Thor’s Hammer!”

“The experience I’m trying to give the listeners is that of a fellow fan. I want people to be euphoric for other bands that mean something to them like Ensiferum, Wintersun and Amon Amarth. To connect personally with my music and realize that I love and worship these bands.” explains Andrew James.

Attila & Emmure Frontmen Beefing Via Twitter Following Attila’s New Diss Song “Callout 2”

With Emmure being one of the bands targeted in Attila‘s new single track “Callout 2“ streaming below, the outfit’s vocalist Frankie Palmeri took to Twitter (February 15th) to fire back at Attila mainman Chris Fronzak, tweeting:

Thanks for the shout out bud – I could of helped you at least write a scathing subliminal or something! @FRONZ1LLA – You also might be the first person in history to ever use the word ‘EMMURE’ in a song ??.

— FRANKIE PALMERI (@FrankiePalmeri) February 15, 2018

Y r u so scared to @ me bro?! ?? The rest of my band ain’t who you’re salty about…c’mon sen..??

— FRANKIE PALMERI (@FrankiePalmeri) February 15, 2018

Fronzak has since replied tweeting:

You’re absolutely right. I LOVE your band and every member past/present. You’re the arrogant fucktard (in real life). Why didn’t I @ you in the song? Dawg come’on…. no one knows who tf you are ????

— SLiME DADDY (@FRONZ1LLA) February 16, 2018

Palmeri firing back at Fronzak:

?? Arrogant? Bruh..the pot calling the kettle black is too real right now.

— FRANKIE PALMERI (@FrankiePalmeri) February 16, 2018

I really don’t have the energy to beef with @FRONZ1LLA – Unfortunately, I inadvertently gave birth to his entire persona and image, anyone with half a brain knows this. Its funny for him to say “no one knows you” but uses my band to chase some internet clout and feed his kids.??

— FRANKIE PALMERI (@FrankiePalmeri) February 17, 2018

I gotta admit Fronzy, you pull off the Frankie Palmeri look even better than I did.

Paradise Lost To Re-Release “Host” In March

British gothic metal pioneers Paradise Lost has announced that their 1999 album, “Host” will be remastered and re-released through Nuclear Blast Records on March 16th. The album will be available as digipack and in three different vinyl colours (black, clear and mint) for the first time ever.

Speaking about the album, vocalist Nick Holmes stated: “With the ‘Host’ album we wanted to take the ‘One Second’ concept further and make a very dark album with even more subtlety. It was a bold leap from all our previous albums, a leap too far some would say, but for me, the new remastered version really shows it’s still one of the bands strongest albums in terms of song writing, atmosphere and sheer misery.”

Another Lost Year Premiere Video For “Call It Like It Is”

Another Lost Year premiere a music video for their single, “Call It Like It Is”, from the band’s upcoming album due out in 2018. ALY is currently wrapping up the end of the year with their annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Traveling Party. The video was directed by Dillenger (Dan Johnson) of Dillenger Media Group and can be streamed below.

Says the bands vocalist Clinton Cunanon:

“We just decided to literally do what we wanted to do, get back to the reasons we fell in love with music, to make people feel something, even if that feeling is uncomfortable. When it came to our latest single, Call It Like It Is, we used imagery that we felt would invoke some feelings in people, and when it came to the video, well, we dug in hard, probably a little over ambitious, but we shot for the moon and could not be happier with how it turned out! Dillinger Media and Dan Johnson helped us execute the idea flawlessly in our opinion!”
