Cyhra (Ex-In Flames/Amaranthe, Etc.) Premieres New Track “Letter To Myself”

Cyhra – the new band featuring former Amaranthe singer Jake E., ex-In Flames guitarist Jesper Strömblad and Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody drummer Alex Landenburg – just released its second single, “Letter To Myself“. The song comes off the band’s debut album “Letters To Myself“, out October 20th via Spinefarm.

States vocalist Jake E.:

“It feels amazing to have ‘Letter To Myself‘ as a single as this was the first song me and Jesper wrote together. I am very proud of how this song ended up and the lyrics are so straight forward that I bet that most people can relate to those. Most of us has been through problems of getting out of a bad relationship or battling with ones like gambling or addiction. I can’t wait to have the whole album to be released and see people’s reactions.”

Katla Reveals Debut Album Deatils

Katla is an Icelandic band featuring ex-Sólstafir drummer and visual artist Guðmundur Óli Pálmason and singer/multi-instrumentalist Einar Thorberg Guðmundsson (Fortíð, Potentiam).

Named in tribute to one of Iceland’s greatest active volcanos, Katla creates powerful, panoramic music where shimmering guitars, crushing melodies and atmospheric density meet dark, entrancing power. Katla’s debut album, “Móðurástin,” will be released on October 27th via Prophecy Productions (Alcest, Dool).

The lyrics tell tales of living in a country of contrasts; a land where fire and ice co-exist and dark winters are offset by the summer’s midnight sun. Iceland: a country where insular existence has spurred a rich and vibrant culture. “Móðurástin,” Icelandic for (a) Mother’s Love, might seem like a strange title for a metal album, but Katla dares to be different. What on Earth is stronger than a mother’s love?
