Deicide Posts New Video, “Defying The Sacred” Online

Death metal icons Deicide have returned with “Overtures Of Blasphemy,” which sees the band return to their roots to create a stellar and uncompromising extreme metal masterpiece. The effort was produced by the world-renowned Jason Suecof (The Black Dahlia Murder, Trivium) at Audio Hammer Studios.

“Overtures Of Blasphemy” was released today via Century Media Records at digital retailers and streaming sites. Due to a manufacturing delay, all US physical purchase copies will be available next week, on September 21st.

A new music video for “Defying The Sacred” can be viewed below. The clip was directed by the renowned Scott Hansen (Animals As Leaders, Whitechapel).

Cover art was created by Zbigniew M. Bielak (Ghost, Paradise Lost, Mayhem).

Deicide Release Date For New Album “Overtures Of Blasphemy” Set For September

Deicide‘s new effort “Overtures Of Blasphemy” will be out September 14th via Century Media. The group worked with producer Jason Suecof (Trivium, The Black Dahlia Murder) at Audio Hammer Studios on this latest outing. Artist Zbigniew M. Bielak (Ghost, Mayhem) created the cover art for the new full-length, which can be seen below.

Comments vocalist/bassist Glen Benton of the effort:

“This album came together over time, meaning we didn’t want to rush it. A few people might remember an interview where Steve Asheim (original member, drummer/songwriter) said ‘the material is done, but it’s just not there yet.’ Well, that was the jumping off point of when this album truly started taking shape and the songs became what they are now…complete, compact and effective. As the band pushed forward, so did the writing process and a few other processes which made the record and the band stronger. The result is Overtures Of Blasphemy, perhaps the group’s strongest release to date. Jason Suecof lended his considerable talents and attention to detail in making the tracking of the songs as great as they can be and the final mix as sonically brutal, yet as listenable as possible. An arduous process, but one well worth the time and effort.”

Whitechapel launches mini-documentary, “Untold”, online

Having spent most of 2015 on tour with the likes of Slayer, King Diamond, Suicide Silence, and other premier acts, Whitechapel has just entered the studio to record their sixth album and follow-up to 2014′s Our Endless War (which debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart!). With Mark Lewis (Audio Hammer Studios) as their producer once again, the band is poised to dominate the music world this summer.

Whitechapel‘s Alex Wade (guitar) comments: “Beginning this week, we have started tracking our sixth full-length studio album. It has been a long road over the last 10 years to get to this point and we are excited to show you the next progression of Whitechapel.”

Carnifex Finishes Recording New Album

San Diego, CA Carnifex signed to Nuclear Blast during the summer, and now the band has finished recording a new album at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, FL with producer Mark Lewis.

“After a year and half of writing and five weeks in the studio, we are very excited that tracking for the new album is complete,” commented vocalist Scott Lewis. “Not only is this the best production we have ever had, the depth in each song is beyond anything we have previously written. We combined the best parts of our previous albums with elements and influences we only touched on in the past. This is the album Carnifex was always meant to write.”

On recently signing to Nuclear Blast Lewis continues: “Signing with Nuclear Blast is a career defining moment for Carnifex. To be aligned with the largest Metal label on earth is a true honor. This world-wide deal signals a turning point for us as a band and individuals. Together with Nuclear Blast you will see Carnifex like you have never seen us before. Prepare yourself for an album that crushes any and all expectations. An album that will stand as the definitive mark for modern Metal.”

Carnifex’s Nuclear Blast Records debut will also introduce new lead guitarist and longtime friend of the band, Jordan Lockrey. A release is tentatively scheduled for some time in the first quarter of 2014.

Carnifex’s latest album, “Until I Feel Nothing,” was produced by Tim Lambesis (As I Lay Dying) and was released on October 25th, 2011.
