New Album “Impervious” Streaming In Full From Mason

New Noise Magazine teamed up with Australian thrash act Mason to bring you the stream of the entire new album “Impervious” a day ahead of its release on October 6th over at this location. The album is also conveniently streaming in the player below.

Crushing audiences across the globe with their driving force and energetic stage presence, Melbourne’s Mason delivers a commanding performance that has taken the band on tours across Australia and beyond in Asia, Europe plus Canada where the band even shared the stage with the likes of Harlott, Havok, Accept, Revocation, Mutank and Annihilator.

Drawing influences from ‘The Big Four’ and Bay Area thrash greats, Mason encapsulates the 80’s thrash sound mixed with fast tempos and a dominating rhythm section. The second full length “Impervious” features nine glorious thrashing tracks mixed and mastered by Erin Hamidovic (Devin Townsend Project, Sikth, Animals As Leaders, Periphery, Elm Street).

Vocalist/guitarist Jimmy Benson comments: “During the demo process we wrote a lot of material, but the majority made the ‘Impervious’ album minus one or two songs. We spent a lot of time fine tuning the songs and making sure they kicked ass! For this album, we focused mainly on trimming the fat and stepping up the energy and tempos. Fast, focused and heavy! For those wanting to know more about this release. ‘Impervious’ touches on so many topics from suicide, death, terrorism and more events that happen to people around the world. When ya look at the front cover, it is a symbol of character and strength of a boy that goes about his everyday life in the worst conditions and does what is normal to him to get by day to day. To sum it up, this new album is powerful and holds a strong message from start to finish.”

The album track list is:

1. Eligos (0:29)
2. Burn (3:30)
3. Tears of Tragedy (4:05)
4. The Afterlife (5:13)
5. Impervious (4:48)
6. Cross This Path (3:26)
7. Sacrificed (4:11)
8. Hellbent on Chaos (3:54)
9. Created To Kill (6:29)

Cokegoat Debuts New Song “Winter of Fear” From New Album “Drugs And Animals”

Chicago-based death doom collective Cokegoat debuts a new song entitled “Winter of Fear”, taken from the band’s upcoming new album “Drugs And Animals”, which will be out in stores on November 25th, 2016.

Check out now “Winter of Fear” below.

Comments the band:

“‘Drugs And Animals’ is a tall refreshing Long Island Ice Tea in a craft cocktail world. It’s trashy, it will get you fucked up, and you’ll probably wake up in a strange place needing a double dose of antibiotics. To quote producer/engineer Andy Nelson during the recording sessions, ‘This album is dense.’ Since our 2013 debut LP Vessel, countless group texts have helped Cokegoat achieve growing friendships, razor sharp focus, mental stability, financial instability and a more advanced writing process. In other words, we are beyond stoked to get this record to your earholes.”

Animals As Leaders Suffers From A Bad Case Of “Arithmophobia”

Animals As Leaders today premieres new song “Arithmophobia,” which can be heard below. Pre-orders for the band’s forthcoming album, “The Madness of Many,” which include instant downloads of “Arithmophobia” and “The Brain Dance,” are available here.

“This album feels like total synergy between the three of us,” says guitar player Tosin Abasi. “None of this music would have turned out the same way without the equal inclusion of all of our musical ideas and that feel special. We’re beyond thrilled with the result.”

Animals As Leaders produced the 10-track album, with guitar player Javier Reyes handling mixing duties. Reyes also commented on the symbiotic nature of the new album, adding: “’The Madness of Many’ is an explorative and ambitious journey of harmony, rhythm, musical expression and emotion. It has been the most collaborative effort for the band and an evolution in each of the members’ musical path.”

Drummer Matt Garstka noted that, “although conceptually dense, it is the most natural sounding Animals As Leaders album yet.”

The trio kick off a first tour in support of the new album on November 10th, launching a five-week, North American outing at the Livewire in Scottsdale, Arizona. Intervals and Plini will open on all dates.
