Buckshot Facelift Debuts New Song “Bobby Boy” In Honor Of Deceased Friend

NYC’s Buckshot Facelift debuts a new song entitled “Bobby Boy”, in honor of the band’s local deceased friend Rob McAllister. States vocalist Will:

“The song “Bobby Boy” was written for Rob McAllister, who played guitar in the punk bands Capital and Iron Chic. He was a good friend to members of Buckshot and passed away a little over a year ago. We are playing on Saturday, May 27th, for his benefit show (Wild Fest Day 2) in Amityville, New York. The song was written and recorded in the same sessions as Ulcer Island with producer Keith Moore. We are posting it as a name-your-price download and all money collected goes directly to Rob’s widow and two kids.”

Check out now “Bobby Boy” below.

Gemini Syndrome Releases “Sorry, Not Sorry” Video

Gemini Syndrome just debuted the “Sorry, Not Sorry” official music video. taken off the “Memento Mori” album. In addition to the video coming online, look for Gemini Syndrome on the of the “Half God, Half Devil” tour with In This Moment, Motionless In White, and Avatar later this month. The band comments:

“Our brand-new music video for ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ tells the story about a husband and wife who have lost themselves in vanity and greed. The woman injects herself with large painful needles and cuts her face, while the man chops up a briefcase full of cash and snorts it like drugs. As the wife sits down with her husband at the dinner table, she looks cartoonish, while the husband is sweating over a large mirrored plate of money. Things then really start to take a turn for the worse for them both and you gotta watch to find out their fate.

“The song itself shines a light on the collective mental illness that our society seems to be infected with. Now more than ever, it’s so easy to lose ourselves in a false virtual reality that glorifies materialism and self-seeking satisfaction. We’ve become ironic memes of ourselves, social zombies lost in our devices, where tangible human interaction has become unnecessary and burdensome. We’re desensitized from only seeing others and ourselves through self-imposed filters. It’s time to wake up from the spell and look ourselves, and each other, in the eye.

“We are also extremely grateful to be a part of the ‘Half God, Half Devil’ Tour with our friends In This Moment, Motionless In White, and Avatar. It’s an honor to be a part of this amazing package and share the stage with such great bands, and good friends, old and new. If there are still tickets available in your city, get them now, as shows have been selling out every night!”

Countdown Releasing Demo On Vinyl Via Flatspot Records

Flatspot Records has confirmed the impending re-release of the debut demo by New York City/Boston-based hardcore outfit, Countdown. The record will hit the streets this September 2nd, directly following a two-week run of East Coast US tour dates. Flatspot comments:

“Fully embodying the DIY spirit, Countdowns a force to be reckoned with. These young musicians are channeling legendary hardcore acts such as the Cro-Mags, Bad Brains, Leeway, and Outburst, while adding their own fresh twist to create an original take on the timeless punk sound.

“The band splits time between two locations: vocalist Chris Wilson, bassist Hardy Alegria, and guitarist Chandler Mercer in New York City, while guitarist Connor Jones, and drummer Mike Ralston are in Boston.

“This does not stop Countdown from remaining constantly busy, and after writing, recording, and self-releasing a demo, Flatspot Records picked up the act to officially re-release the songs to a wider international audience.

“Already carrying an intense amount of energy in the American hardcore scene, with a lot of attention already being focused on this demo release, you can expect to hear a lot more on Countdown in the months and years to come as the band blossoms and expands through more records and shows.”

Child Bite Releasing New Album “Negative Noise”

Detroit’s favorite musical misfits Child Bite will unveil brand new full-length, “Negative Noise,” this April 1st. Having released three full-lengths, as well as a gaggle of EPs and singles since the group’s formation in late 2005, the prolific collective is now well into the second phase of bandhood.

What began as a thoughtful-yet-spazzy art rock band in a Detroit suburb has now fully mutated into an aggressive, dissonant blend of all things punk, hardcore, sludge, surf, prog rock, noise rock and metal; a truly unique voice in a sea of copycats.

“Negative Noise” is forty-seven-minute throbbing ball of energy filled with furious jabs and paranoia-fueled explosions. Produced by Philip H. Anselmo and featuring artwork by vocalist Shawn Knight, “Negative Noise” is a fully-realized vision, inside and out. The album’s track listing is as follows:

1. Death Before Dementia
2. Paralytic Phantasm
3. Euphoria Saturation Point
4. Born A Hog
5. Video Blood
6. Apex Of Anxiety
7. Vermin Mentality
8. Beyond The Dirt
9. The Great Ego Flood
10. Into The Disease
11. Feed Me Septic Dreams
12. Heretic Generation
