Asylum Pyre Parts Ways With Vocalist Chaos Heidi

Asylum Pyre has officially parted ways with vocalist Chaos Heidi. The band issued this statement online about the situation:

“You may have already read it somewhere on her page but, after almost five years in the band, Heidi is no longer a part of Asylum Pyre’s entity. We truly wish her all the best for her future career!

“Be assured that Asylum Pyre is not dead Her replacement is ongoing – by the way, feel free to contact us if interested 🙂 🙂 – and… and, to be honest, we already have a good view of what the next album will sound like.

“Many songs are already written and the lucky ones who listened to them are more than enthusiastic about it! Stay tuned and Tree Your Mind!”

God Seed Reveals New Lineup, Working On New Album

The thaw has arrived for God Seed. No longer frozen, Gaahl and King have regrouped with a new line-up. Joining ranks with Gaahl and King are:

Sir (Trelldom, Djerv) – Guitar
Kenneth Kapstad (Motorpschyco) – Drums
Geir Bratland (Dimmu Borgir) – Keys & Noise
Lust Kilman (The Batallion, Grimfist) – Guitar

A new album via Indie Recordings is in the works. All music is already written and recorded at various locations in Norway, and Gaahl is currently working on lyrics and vocal arrangements. No release date has yet been set. King comments:

“All members of God Seed has been carefully picked for their musical skills and devoted personalities. We aim to release an album which will sound different than what we have done in the past. The new members have been very important for creating a sound that hopefully will come across as unique and defining the new God Seed sound. From this moment God Seed should not be viewed as a duo anymore, but as a band with 6 members.”

Kamelot guitarist Thomas Youngblood recently offered the following update to the next Kamelot full length album;

“There’s gonna be some new twists and turns, of course, with the vocals and stuff like that. I think what we’re gonna do is kind of go back a little bit to what we did with ‘The Black Halo’ and ‘Ghost Opera’, but then, of course, add new elements, more theatrical things. We’ve got about two songs already written, and after the U.S. tour in September, we’re gonna be full force into writing the new album.”
