All Else Fails Joins Loud As Hell Fest 2017 Lineup

Coming off their a international tour of India as well as performing a local Edmonton CD release show last month supporting new EP “The Forever Lie,” All Else Fails now confirms the band will be joining the 2017 Loud As Hell festival line up in Drumheller, AB.

AEF’s set will be on the second day of the festival on Saturday, August 5th with a set time at 9pm. Full ticket, line up, and set time info can be found here.

Inire Posts New “Crash” Single

Aylmer, QC’s heavy hitting, northern riffing groove demons from Inire just premiereed a second single titled “Crash” and taken off their upcoming album “Cauchemar,” due out on November 18th.

The 13 track album was produced by drummer Chris Bonavia and continues the band’s reputation of delivering energetic anthems that have garnered them a loyal following in the Ontario and Quebec scenes. –

Striker Wins “Metal Recording Of The Year” At Edmonton Music Awards

After wrapping up a USA and Canadian tour last week, Striker returned home just in time to receive an award at this year’s Edmonton Music Awards for “Metal Recording of The Year.”

Striker earned the win for the track “Too Late,” from latest album “Stand In The Fire” released this past February. Guitarist Tim Brown comments:

“Huge thanks to Edmonton Music community, as well as everyone that has helped us out over the years including the AFA, Edmonton Arts Council, FACTOR, and many others! We hope this award can bring some awareness to all the other great bands coming out of Edmonton these days as well.”

Striker was nominated alongside the following Edmonton bands:

Monarch Sky – Hell’s A Little Closer
Striker – Too Late
The Order of Chaos – Apocalypse Moon

In additional news, Striker was also nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award in the “Metal/Hard Rock Artist of The Year” category alongside KEN mode (MB), Shooting Guns (SK), Third Ion (SK), and Van Halst (AB). The awards will be held in Regina, SK on October 13th.

Helleborus Releasing “Ritual” Beer At Colorado Show

After recently unleashing debut album “The Carnal Sabbath” via Satanath Records (Russia) and Black Plague Records (USA), black metal blood brother duo Helleborus will be joining forces with Black Sky Brewery for a new craft beer entitled “Ritual.”

This new brew will be revealed at the band’s next performance presented by the brewery and Metal Nation Radio in Denver, CO on July 15th at Bluebird Theater. Helleborus will be joined by Of Feather And Bone, Belhor, Scepter of Eligos.

Saints Of Death Posts “Watching Me Die” Drum Cam Footage

Vancouver, BC’s Saints Of Death (a name inspired by the Mexican folklore of Santa Muerte) just posted a video capturing drummer Christopher James pounding out the track “Watching Me Die.” This video was taken during the band’s performance at The Phoenix Ballroom in Abbottsford, BC back in October.

Arrival Of Autumn Posts “Like Fire” Live Lyric Video

Arrival of Autumn will perform upcoming Alberta dates in Calgary on May 15th and Lethbridge on May 16th in support of latest album “Shadows,” released last year and available on Bandcamp here.

In additional news, the band has released a live lyric video for “Like Fire,” a track that talks about the correlation of a dangerous relationship and a fire that consumes the body.

The Body Politic Posts “Armature” Guitar Play Through Video

Nanaimo, BC six-piece powerhouse The Body Politic has teamed up with GunShyAssassin.com for the premiere of a new guitar play through for “Armature,” the first single off upcoming EP “Egressor,” due out on September 16th, 2014.

“Dan and I had a blast with this play through! I’m so excited to have an opportunity to showcase some of the guitar work from ‘Egressor’.
