Grey Aura Announces New Album “Waerachtighe”

Dutch black metal threat Grey Aura proudly presents debut album “Waerachtighe beschryvinghe van drie seylagien, ter werelt noyt soo vreemt ghehoort.”

Due out June 3rd, the album deals with the story of Dutch explorer Willem Barentsz (c. 1550 – 1597), who tried finding a northeastern passage to Asia. On his third and final attempt in 1596, Barentsz and his crew got stuck in the ice near the mysterious, desolate island of Novaya Zemlya. The crew was forced to construct a home made of driftwood and parts of their ship in order to survive the harsh Arctic.

In order to bring the actual events to life, Grey Aura fused layered black metal compositions with theatre, using voice actors and recording samples outdoors. Artist Thomas Knopper was also recruited, whose unique artwork gave the story a whole new dimension. The band additionally wrote a 60-page booklet, which includes the full story of Willem Barentsz and his crew.

The album’s track listing is:

Hush. Announces New Album “Unexist”

Albany, New York’s Hush. has announced the June 24th release of a first full-length album, entitled “Unexist.”

“Unexis”t was engineered by Ryan Slowey, mixed by Kowloon Walled City frontman Scott Evans (Old Man Gloom, Ladder Devils), and mastered by From Ashes Rise frontman Brad Boatright (Nails, Tragedy).

Today you can also stream Hush.’s “Eater Of All Things” off the “Unexist” album below, courtesy of American Aftermath.

Frontman Charles Cure refers to the band more as a collective force than a group of individuals, stating “The live performance is a delivery of massive, shuddering heaviness, provided by a literal wall of amplifiers. We regard the actual members of the band as a secondary aspect to the primacy of the sound and ideas being conveyed.”

The lyrics on “Unexist” explore the concept of death as it has been represented in society via works of art and media coverage. Each song is based on one specific representation of death, with source materials ranging from an Emily Dickinson poem, to a Wladyslaw Podkowinski painting, to a newspaper article about an actual classmate of Cure’s who committed suicide by jumping from a plane without a parachute. The track listing is as follows:

1. Solus
2. Eater of All Things
3. We Left Like Birds
4. Infinite Recursion
5. Waves of Exultation
6. Rest/Nonexistence
7. Splendor

Rings Of Saturn Streaming Full New Album "Dingir"

Rings of Saturn has posted the full “Dingir” album online for streaming, which can be heard in the player below, and the band also commented:

“Here is the official album version of Dingir streamed in high quality. There are many reasons as to why we decided to stream our new album in its entirety before its scheduled release date. One big reason is because we are dealing with legal issues right now which unfortunately WILL push back the release date of Dingir from Nov. 20th to Feb. 5th.

“The second reason is that a very poor quality, unfinished, and unmastered, pre-production version of our album went viral across many metal blog spots, torrent sites, and youtube this morning. It is unclear whether the original poster thought that the pre-production version of the album was the actual album, or if the original poster leaked it maliciously. In any case, If you guys are going to listen to a leaked version of our album, we would much rather you listen and jam out to the ACTUAL high quality finished album, rather than a low quality unfinished product. If you DID happen to upload the pre pro version to your Youtube channel (chances are that you did since our video is the first video of the actual finished album) we ask that you please take it down now that the actual album is up streaming because we don’t want to confuse people.

“The third reason is that we know you are all tired of waiting for this, we are also EQUALLY tired of waiting, and we know that our true fans will continue to support the band, pre order our album, buy our merch, and come out to our shows. If you ARE in fact a true fan of Rings of Saturn, or you like what you are hearing, or you want to see us come to your town our city, then you will share this video EVERYWHERE, you will show all of your friends, and you will pre order and actually still buy our album when it does come out on Feb. 5th because a band’s first week album sales dictate what tours the band gets on, what slots they get, and where they are able to go.

“If you want to see us play in Europe, or Australia, or come back to Canada, or back to your state, then you will pre order Dingir or pick up your copy within the first week of its release. We are only able to keep doing this because of your guys support. We will keep everyone posted on pre-orders and new merch from this page. Again the new release date for Dingir is Feb. 5th and remember, SHARE THIS VIDEO and Enjoy!”

The track listing (and corresponding time in the video) is as follows:

1. Objective to Harvest 0:00
2. Galactic Cleansing 4:05
3. Shards of Scorched Flesh 7:35
4. Dingir 10:44
5. Faces Imploding 14:21
6. Peeling Arteries 20:13
7. Hyperforms 24:20
8. Fruitless Existence 28:12
9. Immaculate Order 31:28
10. Utopia (Instrumental) 36:06

CypherSeer Working On New Full-Length Album

CypherSeer is currently in the studio working on the follow-up to the last release “Origins.” Guitarist Sergio Ribiero has checked in with an update on the band’s progress:

“First order of business – CypherSeer would like to announce that for the next record, Martin Brändström from the band Dark Tranquillity, will be laying down all the keyboard work. After months searching and speaking with some of the industry’s best and most respected keyboardists, Martin just absolutely blew us away with his ideas and playing. We felt an immediate connection and we felt his keyboard style would fit our music the best, since we are aiming for a more updated overall sound on the up-coming record.

“Speaking of our new record… We are currently recording demos to be shipped out for editing, and soon after that, the actual recording will begin. As of right now the projected date for the start of recording is mid January. In terms of the actual songs, we feel that we are getting ever-closer to the sound that defines CypherSeer. We were very meticulous and made sure all the songs were to their absolute potential before we started demoing them.

“In comparison to ‘Origins,’ the new songs are darker, heavier and took an overall ominous direction, which is something absolutely new to us, but at the same time it felt very organic when we were in the writing process. Nothing was forced and we tried to do away with as much ‘filler’ as possible. Also in this next album, we conclude the ‘Haunted Saga’ story, with 3 more songs. The story ends in a dramatic, epic battle that makes one think if such thing is possible – no lack of creativity here.

“CypherSeer will be playing a few shows in between the recording – Jan 6th at Kaza Rock in Newark NJ (other bands in the bill tbd) and on Jan 11 at The Gramercy Theater in NYC with legendary metal band Sanctuary. We also have setup an online store here selling all our t-shirts. More merchandise to be added soon.”

To hear what CypherSeer has to offer, you can check out a track from the last album “Origins,” titled “Red Rain,” by heading over to this location.
