Accept Bassist Peter Baltes Leaves The Band

Accept bassist and founding member Peter Baltes has announced that after forty years with Accept, he is leaving the group. He did not give any reasons for his departure, but a post on the band’s official Facebook page read:

“To all Accept fans:

“I hereby like to announce my departure as Bassplayer from Accept. I have been with the band from the very beginning. Many of you have been there as well. I like to thank you all for the great years we shared together.

“Keep it Metal.
Peter”

A statement from the rest of the band members soon afterwards read:

“We are all heart broken! Peter needed a change in his life and we wish him all the best. He will always be part of the Accept Family and to honor his tribute to music history, we should all wish him well. Gaby, Wolf,Mark, Uwe & Christopher …indeed ACCEPT WILL KEEP IT METAL!”

Accept recently released their new live album, “Symphonic Terror – Live At Wacken 2017,” which saw the band perform at the famous festival with a full piece orchestra.

Valor Releasing “The Crown And The King” Limited Edition 7″

Greek epic power metal band Valor returns with a special limited edition 7” single titled “The Crown and the King.”

Side A features a brand new track (“The Crown of Evermore”) taken off the band’s upcoming album and Side B features a cover of the Accept classic “The King.”

Limited to 250 copies, the 7” single will be released on March 5th, during the Up the Hammers Festival warm-up show in Athens, Greece to coincide with the band’s appearance at this year’s festival (Day 2 – March 7th).

Second New Clip From "Live At Sofia" DVD Posted By U.D.O.

German metal icon Udo Dirkschneider (formerly of Accept) posted a second new live clip for “Screaming For A Love-Bite” (which originally appeared on the classic 1985 Accept studio release “Metal Heart”). The clip is part of the DVD/2CD live release entitled “Live in Sofia,” which is out now via AFM Records.
