The Acacia Strain Premieres New Song “Bitter Pill” From Upcoming New Album “Gravebloom”

The Acacia Strain premieres a new song entitled “Bitter Pill”, taken from the upcoming new album “Gravebloom”. Rise Records has scheduled the effort for a June 30th release date.

Fit For An Autopsy Announces “Enslave America” Tour Dates

New Jersey group Fit For An Autopsy has announced another round of tour dates dubbed the “Enslave America 2016” tour. Lorna Shore, No Zodiac and Face Your Maker have been tapped to support.

“We’re happy to get back out and do a headliner with some younger bands that are making moves,” says Fit For An Autopsy guitarist Pat Sheridan. “It’s been a good year so far, this tour will definitely add to that vibe.”

The band also just released a three way split with Thy Art Is Murder and The Acacia Strain via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Fit For An Autopsy included a new track on that release titled “Flatlining” and covered the classic Nine Inch Nails song “The Perfect Drug.”

Trailer For “The Depressions Sessions” Collaboration Comes Online

In December of 2015, three bands with three different stylistic approaches to aggressive music but a common outlook on the world, came together to create a collective piece of work – “The Depression Sessions.”

Those three bands were Thy Art Is Murder, The Acacia Strain, and Fit For An Autopsy, and on August 12th, Nuclear Blast Entertainment will release the results of this experience both digitally and on limited edition vinyl.

Today, the first trailer with the band members talking about the making of this release can be seen below.

“The Depression Sessions” was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Will Putney. All the bands tracked in December 2015 at Graphic Nature Audio in Belleville, NJ. Cover art was created by Dan Bradley with a layout by Forefathers.

Farmageddon Open Air 2018 Launches GoFundMe Campaign

One of Western Canada’s loudest outdoor metal festivals – the Farmageddon Open Air – has launched a GoFundMe campaign in support of the next event to be held in 2018.

Prairie Fire Events Ltd. organized last year’s 2015 fest that saw headliners Grim Reaper from the UK, American bands Pallbearer and Incantation, plus Canadian group Into Eternity and Archspire along with many more from the Western Canada metal scene.

Earlier this year, Prairie Events also held an indoor metal fest and conference, ShrEdmonton, with Dying Fetus, Acacia Strain, Jungle Rot, Black Crown Initiate, Goatwhore, Finnish power metallers Thunderstone, and many more.

Main coordinator Tyson Travnik issued the video statement below explaining the GoFundMe campaign for Farmageddon 2018.

Reaping Asmodeia Teases New Album With Rough Cut Of “The Clemency Guise”

Back with a vengeance, Minneapolis-based technical death metal surveyors Reaping Asmodeia just took a short break tracking a forthcoming release to hop onboard the first leg of 2016’s Metal Alliance Tour featuring Dying Fetus, The Acacia Strain, Jungle Rot and Black Crown Initiate.

Reaping Asmodeia’s forthcoming effort will be titled “Impuritize” and is expected to be released later this summer via Prosthetic Records.

Vocalist Steven Lane announced a surprise for pining fans, “Since we are starting the Metal Alliance Tour this Friday, we wanted to give you guys something off our new album early ‘The Clemency Guise,’ in its most basic form.”

Marking the first new material from the band’s current recording session, a rough, unedited version of “The Clemency Guise” can be heard below.

Lane gave insight into the track’s significance, stating “’The Clemency Guise’ is about a transformation by tragedy that brings a realization that our quest for happiness is misguided by comfort and security. With a new understanding, we can bring others to enlightenment through torture using torment as a gateway.”
