Scrotoctomy Unveils Debut Album “Born To Eviscerate”

Mexican slam brigade Scrotoctomy has revealed full details on debut album “Born to Eviscerate,” featuring album art by Indonesian illustrator Aghy Purakusuma Art and recorded by Carlos Cruz at El Abuelo Slam Music Studio.

“’Born to Eviscerate’ was written and recorded throughout 2016,” states vocalist Omar García. “We changed things up a bit when you compare this album to our EP, ‘From Torture to Putrefaction’. With influences such as Pathology and Katalepsy, we tried giving this album a more brutal death approach. Overall, we sped up the new tunes and in some cases, made it more technical. We hope this album can become a strong reference to what is Mexican death metal.”

Due out May 5th, 2017 via Gore House Productions, the track listing for “Born To Eviscerate” is as follows:

1. Intro
2. Royal Impalement
3. 818
4. Born to Eviscerate
5. Samurai Disembowelment
6. Through Maggots and Entrails
7. Sextrangulation
8. The Taste of Sickness
9. Psychological Mutilation

More Bands Added To Metalocalypstick Fest 2017

Based in Valemount, BC near Jasper National Park with the beautiful backdrop of the Canadian Rockies, there stands an outdoor festival that just doesn’t celebrate music, but embraces the power of women in metal.

Formed in 2016, Metalocalypstick Fest was created to present a unique experience within the Western Canadian metal community, a gathering of similar views, aspirations and musical taste (similar to former mainstream music festival Lilith Fair).

Founded by Kaija Kinney of Vancouver’s Anarcheon after researching a lack of female-based metal festivals to apply her band to, Kinney took matters into in her own and decided to produce the event.

Kinney comments: “This festival means the celebration of both sexes coming together and creating something amazing. People like to say women in metal aren’t a big deal anymore and that we are all the same. I feel that is untrue, this is still a male dominated world and woman are still looked as lesser. I want to showcase all these bad ass ladies and celebrate the differences of men and woman rather than pretend we are all equal. Truth is we are different why can’t we celebrate that?”

In addition to the festival celebrating women in metal, the Metalocalypstick Fest gives back to the community by being a non-profit organization dedicated to raise funds and donating 100% of proceeds to local charities Girls Rock Camp, Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter, Earth Protectors plus an audience picked foundation.

Preparing for a 2nd annual year, the outdoor festival is proud to announce a second batch of bands added to the lineup: Life Like Fire, Breaking The Silent, and the return of Massive Sca Era to join previously introduced Tessitura, Körperlose Stimme, Meteor Tree, Scythia, Hedks, Forsaken Rite and Remnants.

The second annual festival is being held during Canada Day weekend on July 1st and 2nd in Valemount, BC. For tickets and more info, please visit this location.

Northlane Releases Surprise Album “Mesmer”

Northlane just released surprise fourth album “Mesmer” worldwide. The album appeared with no forewarning on digital services this morning.

Recorded throughout September 2016 in New Jersey with producer David Bendeth (Bring Me The Horizon, Paramore, A Day To Remember), this is Northlane’s defining statement, presented directly to the fans in an unorthodox manner. The band comments:

“Through determination, hard work, sacrifice, and a bit of luck, we are able to travel the world taking our music to fans both old and new. We’re able to spend time crafting the music we want to hear with the benefit of not having to leave the studio early to go and work a job. To an artist, these are real luxuries. We appreciate them more than anything and we’re in the position of being able to do this because of you — our incredible fans who continue to support us. You free us to be the artists we want to be.

“This is our way of rewarding our fans for everything they’ve given us. What our music means to you is what it means to us. Art is an experience, and to us it reserves no room for competition, and the only accolade that matters to us is the place this holds in your heart.

“Releasing ‘Mesmer’ in this way has been right for us at this moment in time. We have grown immeasurably as people and as a band through the toughest recording process we’ve ever endured. We’ve been tested every step of the way and have come out the other side with something we are truly proud of. We didn’t want to keep it from you a moment longer than we had to. We felt we owed it to this album to try and think creatively about every aspect of the way people would experience Mesmer, like a gift from us to you that is being unboxed. We wanted to make everyon’s discovery of this moment special.”

New Lyric Video For “In The Wake Of The Butcher” Issued By Dead Conspiracy

Northwest extreme death metal horde Dead Conspiracy has released a lyric video for the song “In the Wake of the Butcher,” a track from the band’s 2016 self-titled album. Check it out in the player below. “Dead Conspiracy” can be purchased at this location.

The band credited with being Portland’s first-ever death metal act released its long-anticipated first full-length LP of new material in November. “Dead Conspiracy” is available on CD, vinyl and digital formats through Necromantic Press Records. The follow-up to the band’s critically-acclaimed 2014 “Abomination Underground,” the self-titled album is an utterly destructive, dark, depraved, and disgustingly satisfying piece of death metal that fans of Death, Gruesome, Sodom, Massacre and all the old gods will surely appreciate. This is beyond old school – this is fucking original!
