Having grown with each subsequent release, Posthuman is a devastating addition to the band’s catalog. “We’ve always stayed true to who we are and allowed the songwriting process to take shape organically from record to record, and as the band has progressed, our sound has become more refined with metal and industrial influences,” states drummer Chris Mills, while guitarist Bo Lueders succinctly sums up what people can expect when they first spin the record: “To a Harm’s Way fan, I would describe ‘Posthuman‘ as a blend of ‘Isolation‘(2011) and ‘Rust‘ (2015), but it’s sonically way more insane. To anyone else, I would simply say it’s full on heavy and full on aggression.”

English NWOBHM legends Satan release new 7-Inch single

– May 22nd, 2018 –

On July 6th, Metal Blade Records will release The Doomsday Clock 7″ single on vinyl as well as digital. The b-side features another new track, “Catacombs”, exclusively to this 7″. Check out a teaser of The Doomsday Clock at this location: youtube.com/watch?v=47lA7gi_DBE

Pre-order your copies now at either EMP or eBay in the following formats:

–Black vinyl (limited to 400 copies)
–Transparent red vinyl (limited to 200 copies)
–White vinyl (limited to 100 copies; EMP exclusive)
–Blue vinyl (limited to 150 copies; Hell’s Headbangers exclusive)
–Clear vinyl (limited to 150 copies; High Roller exclusive)

Bearers of the NWOBHM movement and responsible for ’83′s seminal Court In the Act and ’87′s Suspended Sentence, Satan make it abundantly clear with their upcoming new album that in 2018, they are not interested in simply capitalizing on past glories. Comprised of 10 tracks of searing metal, it is blatantly and profoundly the work of the Newcastle upon Tyne natives at their very best, infusing their signature sound with a more raw, wild and spontaneous vibe than they showcased on 2015′s mighty Atom By Atom – and in the process, displaying more passion and energy than slews of bands half their age.

Having reunited in 2012 and returned to touring duty, Satan – comprised of six-stringers Russ Tippins and Steve Ramsey, bassist Graeme English, drummer Sean Taylor and vocalist Brian Ross – once more proved their collective mettle with 2013′s Life Sentence and follow-up Atom By Atom, both records critically acclaimed and maintaining the high standards of their earlier releases. With such a powerful collection in their hands, the band was unsurprisingly eager to take it on the road, and they once again had successful tours and festival runs in Europe, North America and South America, culminating with a slot opening for Pentagram in Helsinki, which Tippins counts as a true honor.

Satan will unleash their latest batch of classic heavy metal songs in the second half of 2018. Be prepared for one of the best metal albums of the year and stay tuned for more information about it!

Brian Ross – Vocals
Russ Tippins – Guitars
Steve Ramsey – Guitars
Graeme English – Bass
Sean Taylor – Drums

Lizzy Borden launches video for new single, “Long May They Haunt Us”, via Loudwire.com

– May 18th, 2018 –

For decades, Lizzy Borden has been one of theatrical rock’s top front-men. And on June 15th, Borden will issue his first album in 11 years, My Midnight Things, via Metal Blade Records. The extended layoff between albums has not dulled his desire to rock and shock. “Although we have stayed busy touring all over the world, I missed being a recording artist. I look at the new album as a new beginning, I pushed the restart button on my career,” Borden comments.

For a preview of My Midnight Things, head over to Loudwire.com now for the video premiere of “Long May They Haunt Us”, which Lizzy Borden proclaims as “the most meaningful song on the ‘My Midnight Things‘ album. It’s about those people that are no longer in our lives but we still think about them every single day. They haunt us with more than a memory, a haunt that we hope will never go away.” The video (directed by David Brodsky / www.davidsbrodsky.com) can be viewed at: loudwire.com

To watch the lyric video for the previous single, “My Midnight Things”, please visit: metalblade.com/lizzyborden – where the record can be pre-ordered in the following formats:

–limited 1st edition Digipak-CD (includes bonus tracks)
–jewelcase-CD
–180g black vinyl
–clear pacific blue marbled vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 300 copies)

–olive/black marbled vinyl (US exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
–opaque cool gray marbled vinyl (US exclusive – limited to 200 copies)

To celebrate My Midnight Things‘ release, Lizzy Borden will have an album release party on Thursday, June 14th from 7-10PM at the Hard Rock Live, Las Vegas (3771 South Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109). Hosted by Jim Florentine (along with Lizzy Borden in attendance!), there will be giveaways, drink specials, signed CDs/LPs available for purchase, and more at this event, which is open to the public. Please RSVP to mymidnightparty@gmail.com to confirm your attendance!

Having signed a new contract with Metal Blade on the strength of three demo tracks, Borden opted to produce My Midnight Things himself, with Joey Scott as co-producer, who also handled all the drumming duties. “I knew what I was going for and had doubts that I could find a producer who would understand that,” Borden explains. “My approach is very different than what is happening in today’s current sound.”

The album was also mixed by Greg Fidelman (Metallica, Black Sabbath, Adele, U2) and mastered by Tom Baker (David Bowie, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Tom Petty).

Borden is planning on hitting the road shortly. “I’ve already started working on the ‘My Midnight Things‘ show, and I really can’t wait to play these songs live,” Borden adds. “There are so many talented players out there in the world, I know I will find the right musicians to be on stage with me in my touring band in the new show. And just based on what is being talked about so far, it will be the best show I’ve ever done. I really do feel a new excitement that I have not felt in years. The best is yet to come.”

Redemption reveals details for new album, ‘Long Night’s Journey into Day’

– May 15th, 2018 –

Streams first single, “Little Men”, online

On July 27th, Redemption will release their seventh full-length album, Long Night’s Journey into Day – the first to be produced with Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Primal Fear, Amaranthe, Doro, etc.). For a preview of Long Night’s Journey into Day, the single “Little Men” can be heard now at: metalblade.com/redemption – where the record can also be pre-ordered in the following formats:

– ltd. first edition Digipak-CD with 2 exclusive bonus tracks
– jewel-case CD
– 180g black vinyl
– navy-blue/red marbled vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
– transparent light blue marbled vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 200 copies)
– marine blue/green marbled vinyl (US exclusive – limited to 200 copies)
* exclusive bundles with a shirt, plus digital options are also available!

The follow-up to 2016′s The Art Of Loss, which van Dyk counts amongst Redemption‘s very best, Long Night’s Journey Into Day is inarguably the sound of a band at the height of their powers. As followers of Redemption are also aware, it is the first full-length since the departure of vocalist Ray Alder, and features the debut of Evergrey vocalist Tom Englund. “We were unable to tour ‘The Art Of Loss‘ because Ray was not able to actively participate in Redemption any longer, so we decided it was time to part company shortly after its release. Ray is a dear friend, and I have nothing but respect and love for him and what we created together. But at some point, it just became untenable.” Of course, Alder’s shoes were not exactly going to be easy to fill, and it was essential that his successor be someone who would immediately command respect, as well as somebody who could exceed expectations when it came to performance. Moreover, it was integral that they had someone who could fully invest in the lyrical themes concerning the human condition, which have always been central to Redemption. So, the fact that from the beginning of his career Englund has penned lyrics about feelings of doubt, fear and despair with an unshakable emotional authenticity made him the perfect choice. “Because of the power of his voice and the emotion he brings, this isn’t going to be a shocking transition for fans. Tom’s also a very versatile vocalist, and being a songwriter, he has a tremendous melodic and compositional sensibility, and on top of that, we’ve known each other for many years, and there is a level of not just professional respect but personal friendship to it all.”

Guitarists Chris Poland (Megadeth, OHM) and Simone Mularoni (DGM) return as guest musicians. When it came to backing up the music with visuals, the band once again turned to a longtime collaborator, Travis Smith, whose humbling resumé includes records by bands such as Art Of Defiance, Opeth and Iced Earth.

Long Night’s Journey into Day track-listing
1. Eyes You Dare Not Meet in Dreams

Monte Pittman releases new video playlist for each track on ‘Inverted Grasp of Balance’

– May 7th, 2018 –

Announces Los Angeles and New York dates

There are great guitarists, great vocalists and great songwriters, but Monte Pittman is one of the elite few who can truly lay claim to all three titles. With his fourth full-length, Inverted Grasp of Balance (2016), he once again raised the stakes, delivering a riveting collection of full force metal that showcases his continuing evolution. Now, fans can watch a video playlist for each track on the album here: youtube.com

Monte Pittman comments: “We are finally releasing the remainder of videos filmed for ‘Inverted Grasp Of Balance‘. It started out as an idea Travis Colbert had about filming me as a project when he was with me playing my solo shows. Travis has been documenting content for the app, Bravo Tip Or Pay, that I use to sell tickets and merchandise at my shows. Don Jamieson had an idea for ‘Skeleton Key’, I had to climb up on a mountain of rocks luckily not getting eaten by a bunch of rattlesnakes for ‘Arisen In Broad Daylight’, and we filmed ‘Panic Attack’ in the certified haunted Logan Mansion. Along with the videos that have already been released (featuring Leanna Decker, Billy Sheehan, & Richard Christy), you can now watch the entire album. This completes the cycle for ‘Inverted Grasp Of Balance‘”.

To finish off the Inverted Grasp Of Balance album cycle, Monte Pittman will also play shows in Los Angeles and New York next month, performing The Power Of Three (2014) and Inverted Grasp Of Balance in their entirety. See below for more details.

Monte Pittman live
June 2nd – Los Angeles, CA – Unfriendly Studios (1992 E 20th St Unit 13, Vernon, CA 90058)
* get tickets through the Bravo Tip Or Pay app
June 9th – New York, NY – VNYL (100 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10003)
* get tickets through the Bravo Tip Or Pay app

Exmortus Premiere New Music Video For “Feast Of Flesh”

Exmortus premiere a new music video for their track “Feast Of Flesh“, which is taken from their new album “The Sound Of Steel“, which was produced by Zack Ohren (Machine Head, Suffocation). The effort will be out June 08th via Prosthetic Records.

Comments vocalist/guitarist Jadran “Conan” Gonzalez:

“As some may have noticed on my personal page, I don’t just post guitar or band stuff, but a lot of food pictures and I’m no vegan. ‘Feast Of Flesh‘ is a celebration of our carnal needs and desires. I’m not trying to make any political/environmental statements but I feel this song expresses the ugly and brutal nature of humans and other animals.

It ain’t pretty so we thought it would be fun to shoot the band chowing down on actual raw flesh fresh from the meat market. My girlfriend was willing to play the hapless victim of the carnage, which made the whole experience quite fun and yet funny since we were all trying to act and not laugh at the whole idea. The song itself is more of a caveman stompy headbanger so the music works beautifully with the lyrics and visuals in bloody harmony. So, sit back and enjoy the Feast of Flesh! Cheers!”
