Misery Index Premiere New Music Video For “Naysayer”

Misery Index premiere a new official music video for their track “Naysayer” off their latest record, “Rituals Of Power“.

Say the band of the song:

“In order to celebrate the launch of our first tour for the new album, we offer a video for the track ‘Naysayer.’ The video was filmed several weeks ago at our rehearsal space in Baltimore and is intended to capture the band/us in our most primal creative setting. The idea was to bring to life and visually animate what is perhaps the most ferocious, unrelenting song on the album.

‘Naysayer‘ is to the point; it pulls the hoods off those who seek to hide behind walls (either material or digital) and calls them out for their inveracity and inhumanity. I am sure we all know a few ‘naysayers.’ Turn it up, let it rip and sing along.”

In related news, Misery Index will begin the following European tour with Wormrot, The Lion’s Daughter and Truth Corroded today:

Jinjer Posts New Music Video “Teacher Teacher” Online

One of the hardest working bands in the heavy metal landscape at the moment, Ukrainian juggernaut Jinjer have released a 4th video single “Teacher, Teacher!” taken from their critically acclaimed 5 track EP entitled “Micro,” released via Napalm Records in January 2019.

Filmed in various concert venues throughout Europe on their last tour with Amorphis and Soilwork, “Teacher, Teacher!” is a visually stunning portrayal of Jinjer’s exciting and energetic live show mixed over the unique Progressive Groove Metal sound that sets them apart from the rest of the pack.

The band comments on the new track & video “Teacher, Teacher!”:
“The idea behind the song is about people that dictate their agenda by means of their status, position, or just their internet claim to fame in order to impose their opinion onto others but those opinions aren’t based on experience nor knowledge.”

Death Angel Reveals New Album “Humanicide” Details; Posts Title Track Online

Bay Area thrash metal legends Deatj Angel will release their long-awaited 9th full-length album, “Humanicide,” on May 31st via Nuclear Blast Records. Today, the band has unveiled the artwork, tracklisting and the record’s first new single, the title track, via visualiser. Death Angel will be celebrating the record’s release by undertaking a European tour later this year, which includes a UK performance at Bloodstock Festival on August 9th.

With their forthcoming album Humanicide, Death Angel has maintained their throne in the universe of thrash while still managing to remain progressive in their style. They apply a wide variety of different elements to their music, always pushing to add newness to their sound. This time around they’ve included everything from acoustic bits, to guest musicians, to even (for the first time) the notes of a piano. All ten songs flow seamlessly yet each leaves its own distinct impression. The first single and title track “Humanicide” triumphantly represents the entirety of the album, immediately energising the listener. Mark Osegueda remarks: “I wanted to write something that metal fans could really grasp onto. Something dark and intense, that still makes sense. Right now I think it’s so apparent that the earth is in a sickened state.”

“When I wrote the music for our song ‘Humanicide’ I was shooting for an album opener that would have all the elements of an epic thrash opus. This meant a classic metal style intro leading into a ferocious “Bay Area Thrash Riff-o-Rama” – complete with a crazy middle build up section to ramp up the circle pit until it’s all whipped up into a frenzy by the time the frenetic guitar solo hits, then concluding with a maniacal musical section leading into the outro. All it needed was the lyrics and vocal delivery to match the intensity and Mark went above and beyond the call of duty! Some of his best work in my opinion. One of my favorite DA songs for sure, it feels like the follow up to our song ‘Thrown to the Wolves’. Can’t wait to play it live!” – Rob Cavestany.

For the 4th album cycle in a row, Death Angel returned to their producer and friend Jason Suecof (Deicide, Trivium) of Audiohammer studios for the recording and mixing, along with the mastering of the legendary Ted Jensen (Slipknot, Pantera) of Sterling Sound who added the final touches and brought it all to life, with artist Brent Elliott White (Lamb Of God, Megadeth) providing the ominous cover artwork.

“I’m ecstatic to present Death Angel’s 9th studio album, ‘Humanicide.’ This collection of songs represents the band in its current state – united, vital, intense and (still) hungry like the wolf! I wanted this record to be quite diverse stylistically while obviously keeping with the parameters of metal. DA has been known to push the envelope and we absolutely did this time. So many emotions are expressed through our music, I’m very much looking forward to adding these songs into our live set list. As I savor this rare feeling of satisfaction, we proudly unleash this beast upon thee!” – Rob Cavestany.

Humanicide track listing:?
1. Humanicide
2. Divine Defector
3. Aggressor
4. I Came For Blood
5. Immortal Behated
6. Alive and Screaming
7. The Pack
8. Ghost of Me

Nocturnus AD Premiere New Song “Precession Of The Equinoxes” From Upcoming New Album “Paradox”

Nocturnus AD – led by Nocturnus (and Morbid Angel) founder Mike Browning, premiere a new song entitled “Precession Of The Equinoxes”, taken from their upcoming new album “Paradox”, which will be out in stores May 24th via Profound Lore Records.

Check out now “Precession Of The Equinoxes” below.

Tells Mike Browning:

“I think Paradox is a great successor to The Key. I didn’t want to try and compete with what I did on that record or try and recreate it. I wanted to continue with the ideas and themes I never got to do back then. ‘Precession Of The Equinoxes’ is a brand new song that talks about the shifting of the magnetic poles of Earth. And in fact right now the magnetic poles are shifting faster than ever; it has been in the news just in the last couple of months. It happens in 26,000 year cycles, so we humans have never experienced a pole shift to where its effects were recorded. It could be a huge, disastrous occurrence when they shift completely.”
