Korotory Calling It Quits

Korotory just posted this message online via Facebook about deciding to call it a day after existing for two decades:

“It is with a extremely heavy heart that we announce after 20 years we are disbanding Korotory… There is no long drawn out explanation or bad blood… actually it’s quite the opposite, It’s just the right time to do so.

“Thank you to every single person who has been in this band for their talents, Thank you to all the promoters, clubs, bands, radio stations/DJ’s,fan pages, etc who have supported us and been like family to us over the last two decades but most of all thank you to the greatest fans in the world for pushing us for two decades. Much love and respect to you all!

“We all will continue with music one way or another and who knows what the future holds! Thank You ALL!”

Korotory’s latest releases were the 2012 EP “Chapter III: The Conquering” and the 2010 full-length “God Less America.”

27 Dead After Club Fire During Goodbye To Gravity Show

A night club fire during a metal show in Bucharest, Romania last night has led to an estimated 27 dead and nearly 200 injured. The fire happened at the Colectiv nightclub as Goodbye To Gravity was celebrating the release of new album “Mantras of War.”

According to Telegraph.co.uk, the fire broke out due to fireworks or some sort of on-stage pyrotechnics getting out of control, but there has been no official statement from anyone yet as to the exact cause.

Our condolences go out to the families of the deceased and injured, and we’ll keep you updated as more information comes in. Were any of our European readers at the show and can you shed any light on what occurred?
