Moloken Streams Full New Album “All Is Left To See”

“All Is Left To See” – the third long player from Swedish progressive sludge bringers Moloken – is now streaming online in its entirety.

A monolithic wall of dread and despair shrouded in sulfuric atmospheres and an overwhelming sentiment of desolation, Moloken’s “All Is Left To See” centers itself around a lyrical concept called mörkrets kärna (Swedish for “darkness core”), and serves as a veritable soundtrack to falling into a pit of misery.

“All Is Left To See” is Moloken”s first studio offering in four years, recorded mostly live by Pelle Henriksson at Tonteknik Recording (Refused, Breach, Cult of Luna, Meshuggah, Entombed) and featuring the cover renderings of Costin Chioreanu (Bloodbath, Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Ulver etc). The album will officially drop in Europe on October 23, with North America getting the album on November 13, 2015.

Faith No More Releases “Sunny Side Up” Music Video

Faith No More will play a final 2015 show on October 25 at the Aftershock Festival. Leading up to that performance, today the band debuts the colorful video for “Sunny Side Up.”

The clip, which was directed by filmmaker Joe Lynch (The Movie Crypt podcast, and films Everly and Knights of Badassdom), arrives as the band wraps up a whirlwind year.

“Sol Invictus” (Reclamation Recordings/Ipecac Recordings), Faith No More’s first new album since 1997’s “Album of the Year,” arrived in May, debuting at #6 on the Billboard Top Albums chart and landing at similar spots worldwide (including #2 in Australia, #4 in Germany and #6 in the UK).

The months surrounding release found the band headlining a number of festivals including Sonisphere, Download, Riot Fest, Bumbershoot and Rock in Rio. Returning to late night television for the first time since the mid ‘90s, Faith No More took the stage on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Last Call with Carson Daly.

Rolling Stone called the album “as much a triumphant victory lap as it’s a comeback record, The New York times said the new album found the Bay Area band “reunited and reclaiming its spot” and the Los Angeles Times said “Faith No More has a history of defying expectations, and that’s what it’s doing again with ‘Sol Invictus.’”

Butcher Babies Posts “Igniter” Music Video

The Butcher Babies are back with their new, full-length offering, “Take It Like a Man,” and the official video for “Igniter” also comes online today – check it out below.

New offering “Take It Like a Man” was recorded in the Hollywood Hills with producer Logan Mader. Butcher Babies will support the album by joining Amaranthe across North America for a new tour starting October 29, 2016.

Heidi Shepherd (vocals) states: “We’ve all been in that different state of consciousness where rage over takes over your body and mind. ‘Igniter’ is about these emotions and about that last straw that breaks you. We were so lucky as to film this video during our live performance at The Download Festival, Metal Hammer Boat and The Metal Hammer Golden God Awards. As it shows our intense live energy on the stage, it also shows our goofy off stage personalities.”

Carla Harvey further adds: “’Igniter’ is a song about the anger and frustration that we can let consume and even destroy us at times. When we first started butcher babies, I was in a much darker place and often let that rage overtake me, but after 6 years of having a healthy outlet for those feelings through our music, I’m a completely different person. I love that the video for igniter, shot while we toured the UK this summer, shows a juxtaposition of on stage rage and our off stage fun personalities. It speaks volumes to the release that music provides not only for the listener, but the creators.”

Anthrax Announces “Spreading The Disease” 30th Anniversary Release

On November 20, three decades after its October 30, 1985 debut, Universal will release a special 30th anniversary edition of Anthrax’s classic “Spreading The Disease,” the band’s second studio album and the one that served as the then-budding thrash band’s breakthrough.

“We wanted to do something special for our fans to celebrate the anniversary of ‘Spreading the Disease,'” said Anthrax’s Charlie Benante. “We took the idea to Universal a couple of years ago and have been very hands-on with them, creating this special, deluxe edition that we think our fans will really like.”

In addition to the original album’s nine tracks, the two-disc anniversary edition features previously unreleased bonus material including Joey Belladonna’s 1984 demo recording of the song “Medusa,” nine rhythm tracks from Anthrax recordings also done in 1984 – no vocals, no overdubs or sweetening, just drums, some guitar, a bit of bass, showing the songs in their naked, most basic form – and eight live songs from Anthrax’s 1987, first-ever concert in Japan, held at Tokyo’s Sun Plaza.

“‘STD’ was our first real record on a major label,” said Benante. “We were on a roll with that album, and we wanted to perform those songs as close to the album versions as possible. I think the performances show the excitement of a young band that was on its way, so we wanted to have them on this reissue.”

Produced by Anthrax with Carl Canedy, the 44-minute Spreading the Disease marked the first Anthrax album to feature singer Belladonna and bassist Frank Bello (joining drummer Benante and guitarists Dan Spitz & Scott Ian), and set into motion the core elements that would become the essence of Anthrax. In addition, the album also introduced the Anthrax writing partnership of Benante and Ian (that eventually evolved into Benante, Ian and Bello).

The track listing for the 30th anniversary edition will be as follows:
