Death Angel Announces Tour Dates With Slayer And Anthrax

The Bay Area thrash icons from Death Angel will kick off an epic run of live dates this fall supporting Slayer and Anthrax.

Set to commence on September 4th and run through October 30th, the tour will ravage over three dozen cities and includes a glut of headlining shows scattered throughout the trek. Comments vocalist Mark Osegueda:

“I can honestly say this is the most excited, anxious, and yet focused Death Angel has ever been about any tour in the band’s entire history. Slayer, Anthrax, and Death Angel! What an amazing bill for metal fans! We also have the extreme pleasure of doing shows supporting Anthrax on this run as well.

“But what will bring us the most excitement is the bond we have with all the hardcore Death Angel fans out there and we look forward to solidifying that bond with all the headlining shows we have on this run. We have new songs! We are focused, well-rehearsed, and anxious to deliver a lethal performance every night we step on that stage. Thank you once again for giving us the opportunity to do so.”

New Video Clip “Fallen Into Disuse” Available From Wormrot

Grindcore outfit Wormrot has just released a brand new music video for the track “Fallen Into Disuse” taken from the forthcoming album “Voices,” which will be released on October 14th via Earache Records.

The band had this to say this about the song: “Unconscious abandonment from reality. Desperately trying to be accepted into the norm. At the very least. Failed miserably.”

Living in a country that executes more of its citizens than any other in the world helps to maintain the rage and anxiety that fuels the best grind. After a 4 year hiatus the hottest name in grindcore is back with a much awaited third studio album. “Voices” offers up 20 ferocious slabs of punk-fueled grind of the highest calibre. Feral grindcore in the grand tradition of early Earache releases like Napalm Death, Brutal Truth and Terrorizer.

Hailing from Singapore, Wormrot are Earache’s first ever signing from the East, having risen to prominence via series of primitive underground releases.

The track list for the album is:

1. Blockhead Fuck Off
2. Hollow Roots
3. Exit Fear
4. God’s in His Heaven
5. Oblivious Mess
6. Descending into the Unknown
7. Dead Wrong
8. Fallen into Disuse
9. The 1st World Syndrome
10. Shallow Standards
11. Fake Moral Machine
12. Forced Siege
13. Take Aim
14. Still Irrelevant
15. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Grind
16. Compassion Is Dead
17. Buried the Sun
18. Defaced
19. The Face of Disgrace
20. Outworn

New Album Details For “The Others” Announced By Northern Crown

Florida Doom Metal force Northern Crown has announced the October 14th release of the full-length debut album “The Others.” Following 2014’s critically acclaimed EP “In the Hands of the Betrayer,” the new Northern Crown is stretching out to new heights, with emphasis on the rock organ and a less rigid approach to the genre.

Main songwriter and guitarist Zachary Randall notes that “this is easily the most personal art I’ve ever created, both musically and lyrically.” The care and attention to detail have refined the songs, creating real character and vision. Northern Crown is the sound of realization and reaction, with a touch of smoke and mirrors. Equal parts austere and ostentatious, but heavy all the way through.

Vocalist/guitarist Frank Serafine notes, “we know what we’re good at now, and focused more on bringing out those performances from each other.” The long-running title track, recalling a quote from philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre, is sure to be another enthralling critical favorite.

Serafine summons a heady blend of his influences, such as Ronnie James Dio, Rob Halford, Roy Khan, and Jorn Lande, for his performance. Former Northern Crown founding member Leona Hayward returns to the fold, rounding out the rhythm section with a heavy Steve Harris/Geezer Butler-inspired attack. Drummer Josh Brown is guided by the rule of elegant simplicity in his stylings and momentum. Guest performers on The Others also include Nightfall/Dark Hound guitarist Evan Hensley and organs by Vincent Perez.

The track listing is as follows:

1. With Malicious Eye
2. Surreality (The Tell-Tale Mind)
3. No One Came to Mourn Me
4. Apostate
5. A Pox Upon Your House
6. Les Autres

Whitechapel recently completed an extensive trek across the USA on the annual Warped Tour, touring in support of their sixth full-length, Mark of the Blade. Hailed as “an exciting milestone” (Alt Press), Mark of the Blade was produced by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse) and sees Whitechapel redefine who they are and what they are capable of with the resulting 11 tracks. Kicking off with “The Void” – which has a Slayer-esque ferocity that is perfectly suited to the band’s three-guitar attack – the songs that follow all leave a distinct impression, and by the time the rich, dark melodies on “Decennium” bring the record to a close, it’s impossible to deny the emotional weight brought to bear. Alex Wade explains, “At this point in our career and as we grow older, we are taking a more open-minded approach to creating our music, allowing what we think sounds good to evolve naturally, rather than to just write what is expected of us.”

To purchase Mark of the Blade in various formats, please visit: – where the video for the latest single, “Elitist Ones”, can also be viewed.

Phil Bozeman – Vocals
Ben Savage – Guitar
