Title Track Of New Album “Early Cvlts” Streaming From Natvre’s

MetalSucks is offering an exclusive early stream of “Early Cvlts,” the title track to the second LP by Thessaloniki, Greece-based black metal trio, Natvre’s, as the record nears release on October 27th through Argento Records. Check it out at this location, or simply in the player at the bottom.

Combining mid-tempo, over-saturated riffs with feral blast beats and lacerating vocals, Natvre’s creates a hateful maelstrom of terror and controlled chaos that is impossible to forget. The Hellenic commandos now offer the torrential maelstrom of the second proper full-length, “Early Cvlts,” the album showcasing the band’sterrorizing yet supremely infectious ’90s-inspired blackened arts through eight methodical songs recorded at Stelth Sound Studiosand completed with artwork (shown below) by Luca Devinu.

The band offers with the “Early Cvlts” advance stream, “This song is what Natvre’s is all about. It’s the song on the album that has the biggest punk influence and it’s a sort of statement against the narcissism and pseudo avant-garde attitude that is quite popular in Black Metal today. It’s a song about reality and self-liberation through following the path that leads to the depth.”

Zev Deans comments: “After crawling through abandoned buildings, crashing our van into a tree in the middle of a scene, witnessing a real stabbing and drenching ourselves in fake blood in a derelict park at 5am, we can safely say this was a proper introduction to the slasher genre for Panorama Programming. We brought a slab of fresh meat back from a rotting metropolis, and we’re serving it to you raw. Come and get it.”

Many words come to mind when you hear the name Cannibal Corpse, but one truly defines the soon-to-be thirty-year death metal veterans: Unstoppable. Produced by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Goatwhore), Red Before Black serves to not only reiterate this but to once more raise the stakes, making it very clear who sets the standard when it comes to always compelling music that is equally brutal and complex. Moreover, the band have pushed themselves again, ensuring that it stands out from their catalog. “Throughout our career we’ve tried to improve the precision of both our musical execution and our album production, while still maintaining full-on aggression. ‘Red Before Black‘ continues in that direction, but might go even further on the aggressive side of things. It’s definitely precise, but it has a rawness to it that goes beyond anything we’ve done recently,” asserts bassist Alex Webster. “We really worked super hard crafting these songs, practicing them, and getting them where we wanted to be more so than on any of our previous albums,” adds drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz. “And as Alex said, musically I think it’s the most raw sound we’ve had – and at the same time I think it’s our most focused, tightest and catchiest record.”

Rather than meticulously plan things out or stick rigidly to any kind of template, when it comes to writing, The Black Dahlia Murder prefer to let things happen organically. In the hands of guitarist Brian Eschbach – who co-founded the band with front-man Trevor Strnad in 2001 – and new recruit Brandon Ellis (Arsis, ex-Cannabis Corpse), Nightbringers is rich with dynamic riffs that are at once fresh and classic The Black Dahlia Murder, resulting in a collection that shifts through many moods and effortlessly incorporates various elements of extreme metal. While Strnad explores a variety of themes and ideas with his lyrics, they are united by the album’s title, which embraces a tenet that has been central to The Black Dahlia Murder‘s output since the very beginning. “Death metal and nighttime are synonymous to me,” Strnad explains. “We are the rulers of the darkened hours that the Christian good fears. A lot of archaic ideas that are still upheld – such as marriage and monogamy – came from Christianity, whether people want to acknowledge it or not, and to me, death metal has always been bucking that. It’s ‘being-the-villain music’, because we’re the enemy of Christianity, the enemy of all that is good and traditional. Death metal is for free thinkers, it’s for showing people the path to inner strength and operating on your own will, instead of being told what to do and living in fear, and songs like the title track and ‘Kings Of The Nightworld’ are about leading a legion of awakened minds into battle.”
