Rivers of Nihil premieres new track, “A Home”, via InvisibleOranges.com – alongside an exclusive interview with the band!

– February 21st, 2018 –

On March 16th, Rivers of Nihil will release their third full-length, Where Owls Know My Name, via Metal Blade Records. Whereas The Conscious Seed of Light (2013) and Monarchy (2015) were thematically centered around spring and summer, respectively, Where Owls Know My Name represents the fall. And although that season is usually associated with death, for Rivers of Nihil, the autumn serves as a rebirth.

For a preview of Where Owls Know My Name, the album track “A Home” can be streamed via InvisibleOranges.com now, alongside an exclusive interview with the band: invisibleoranges.com

The previous single, “The Silent Life”, can be heard at: metalblade.com/riversofnihil – where the record can also be pre-ordered in the following formats:

–CD
–Swamp green vinyl + download card (limited to 400 copies – USA exclusive)
–Olive green w/ black splatter vinyl + download card (limited to 300 copies – USA exclusive)
–Doublemint inside swamp green vinyl + download card (limited to 300 copies – USA exclusive)
* exclusive bundles with a shirt, plus digital options are also available!

Where Owls Know My Name reunites Rivers of Nihil with Monarchy producer Carson Slovak (August Burns Red, The Last Ten Seconds of Life) and Dan Seagrave, the storied artist behind such celebrated album covers as Entombed‘s Left Hand Path and Suffocation‘s Effigy of the Forgotten. The result is the Reading, PA quintet’s most visceral, accomplished, and satisfying offering to-date.

Guitarist Brody Uttley comments:
“This record is Rivers of Nihil being exactly who we want to be. Many bands get stuck in a comfortable routine of releasing the same album over and over again. Constantly relying on the same familiar formula may work for some bands, but it does not work for us. Music is art, and art is ever-changing. Without change, there is no progress. Without progress, the very fire that powers art and expression will die. This record is the sound of where we come from, where we are, and where we are going.”

Adds bassist/vocalist Adam Biggs:
“This time around, the lyrics feel a little more personal than on previous albums. The story picks up several millennia after the events of ‘Monarchy‘, where one person still remains alive, chosen by the planet to be the sole intelligent witness of its ultimate fate. But ‘Where Owls Know My Name‘ is less about overarching narrative than our previous albums. The scenario is just a backdrop for the more emotional material we tried to put forth this time around. Ultimately, this is an album about loss, getting older, and reaching a point where death becomes a much more present part of your life.”

Harm’s Way lands on Billboard charts with new album, ‘Posthuman’

– February 21st, 2018 –

Harm’s Way recently released their new album, Posthuman, via Metal Blade Records; for their efforts, the band has now entered the Billboard charts! See below for all positions:

#10 Current Hard Music Albums

#31 Top New Artist Albums Consumption
#38 Current Rock Albums
#89 Current Digital Albums
#120 Digital Albums

To preview and purchase Posthuman, please visit: metalblade.com/harmsway

Having grown with each subsequent release, Posthuman is a devastating addition to Harm’s Way‘s catalog. “We’ve always stayed true to who we are and allowed the songwriting process to take shape organically from record to record, and as the band has progressed, our sound has become more refined with metal and industrial influences,” states drummer Chris Mills, while guitarist Bo Lueders succinctly sums up what people can expect when they first spin the record: “To a Harm’s Way fan, I would describe ‘Posthuman‘ as a blend of ‘Isolation‘(2011) and ‘Rust‘ (2015), but it’s sonically way more insane. To anyone else, I would simply say it’s full on heavy and full on aggression.”

Good Tiger announces “Salt of the East Coast” headline tour with Icarus The Owl & Megosh

– February 20th, 2018 –

Debuts at #2 on Billboard “Top New Artist Albums” with sophomore album ‘We Will All Be Gone’

Rock quintet Good Tiger is thrilled to announce that they will be hitting the road for their “Salt Of The East Coast” headline tour with Icarus The Owl and Megosh. The run kicks off on March 31st in Richmond, and includes stops in Atlanta, Baton Rouge, and Chicago. For a full list of dates or to purchase tickets, please visit: goodtiger.co

In addition, the band will be performing at the Blacklight Media Showcase in NYC’s Gramercy Theatre on March 8th, as well as touring as direct support for Protest The Hero on their Fortress 10th Anniversary Tour beginning on April 19th.

Good Tiger had their strongest opening week to date with the release of their sophomore record We Will All Be Gone, out now via Blacklight Media/Metal Blade Records. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top New Artist Albums Chart, as well as #3 on Current Hard Music Albums. We Will All Be Gone is also currently #9 on Top New Artist Albums Consumption, #15 on Current Rock Albums, #50 on Top Current Albums, #59 on Billboard Top Albums, #76 on Current Digital Albums, and #95 on Digital Albums.

We Will All Be Gone is available for purchase at metalblade.com/goodtiger. We Will All Be Gone has recently been heralded online and in print by Alternative Press, Outburn Magazine, Modern Drummer, New Noise Magazine, Cryptic Rock, and more.

Blending their influences in a manner that defies lazy classification sets Good Tiger apart from their contemporaries, imbuing everything they do with a distinctive sound and feel, and with We Will All Be Gone, Good Tiger have dramatically built upon their stunning debut, 2015′s A Head Full Of Moonlight.

Comprised of guitarists Derya “Dez” Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles, bassist Morgan Sinclair, drummer Alex Rudinger, and vocalist Elliot Coleman, Good Tiger has raised the stakes across the board – every track on We Will All Be Gone has a definitive character of its own, and none stay in a single gear, all of them dynamic and textured as they evoke various tones and moods. Tracking at Middle Farm Studios in southwest England, the band recruited producer Forrester Savell (Karnivool/Dead Letter Circus), and engineer/mixer Adam “Nolly” Getgood (Periphery/Animals As Leaders). “We worked with Nolly on the last album, we had a great working relationship, and wanted to explore that further in a more developed situation,” Dez explains. “Forrester has made some of our favorite albums, and is someone we could trust steering the ship. Having self-produced for so long it can be at times quite difficult to let go, so it was important we found people we could fully entrust to help create the album we wanted to make.”

Primordial releases video for new single, “To Hell or the Hangman”

– February 20th, 2018 –

Irish Pagan Metal Gods Primordial will release their new album, Exile Amongst The Ruins, March 30th through Metal Blade Records. Teaming with producer Ola Ersfjord, who worked on Primordial‘s 2016 live album, Gods To The Godless, the record was tracked at Dublin’s Camelot Studios, located adjacent to their rehearsal room.

Primordial has now released the 2nd single from the album. To watch the video for “To Hell or the Hangman” (directed by Costin Chioreanu), please visit: youtube.com

Comments Primordial singer A.A. Nemtheanga: “In 1493 Walter Lynch was hanged by his own father James Lynch, Mayor of Galwayon on the West coast of Ireland for the murder of a young Spanish noblemen who was visiting the family home. He had fallen in love with a young woman by the name of Agnes in the Lynch of household and in a fit of jealous rage one night Walter took the young Spaniard’s life. The story goes that an angry ‘lynch mob’ took to the streets and barred the way to the usual execution spot so James took his son Walter and hung him with his bare hands from the open window into the street…He was lynched from the hanging sill. ‘To Hell or the Hangman’ is this story through Walter’s eyes, a tale of unrequited love with a murderous end. Enough drama for you? A curious and strange song for single number two from the new album, dark romanticism! so get on the dancefloor…”

For another preview of Exile Amongst The Ruins, the first single “Stolen Years” can be streamed at: metalblade.com/primordial – where the record can be pre-ordered in the following formats:

–ltd. 1st ed. Digibook-CD with bonus-CD
–jewelcase-CD
–ltd. ed. Artbook (incl. 5 x 10″ in golden vinyl)
–180g black vinyl

–violet red purple marbled vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
–clear pale pink/white splattered vinyl (EU eBay exclusive – limited to 100 copies)

–dead gold marbled vinyl (Napalm exclusive – limited to 300 copies)
–rosy brown/purple marbled vinyl (US exclusive – limited to 400 copies)
–tan clear vinyl (US exclusive – limited to 200 copies)

Once again building upon their signature sound, the follow up to 2014′s Where Greater Men Have Fallen is a more raw, “old school sounding” record than its predecessor. Hitting home with what vocalist A.A. Nemtheanga describes as “a direct energy” and wielding an urgency that is undeniable, the Irish quintet once again effortlessly blend elements of tragedy and might like no one else. Likewise, the evolution in their sound continues to be organic and unforced, ensuring that Exile Amongst The Ruins is essential listening for both their long term faithful and those only now drawn into their world.

Exile Amongst The Ruins track listing:
