“The first impression is that the new ones are a bit heavier than the stuff from ‘The Blackened Halo’ and a bit more straight forward. A lot of double-bass action is going on in those first songs!”

The guys have already posted the artwork of “The Rise Of Resistance,” which was created by Francisco Garcés (a.k.a. Dibujante Nocturno) and can be viewed below.

Mindcage Finishing New Album "Our Own Devices"

Mindcage is presently completing new album “Our Own Devices” under the helm of famed rock and metal producer Michael Wagener (Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Megadeth, Mötley Crüe, W.A.S.P., Overkill, Accept) at his WireWorld Studios. The band is very excited to stay in Nashville the entire month of December and work with Michael Wagener to realize this extraordinary vision.

Set in an alternate future, Mindcage’s concept album “Our Own Devices,” warns of what may become of our society if we turn our backs on the importance of arts, music, humanities, and spirituality. It also introduces the world to Arabella Vash, a woman on a mission to awaken and enlighten a world gone wrong. Her message will shake humanity to its very core.

Guitarist Dietrick Hardwick comments, “We are very excited to announce that we have chosen Julie Westlake (Hydrogyn) as the voice of Arabella Vash for ‘Our Own Devices.’ Julie has the power and emotion in her voice needed to convey Arabella’s journey and character. She sounds amazing and has a command and range of voice that is just uncanny. It’s also been a real dream come true for us to work with one of the greatest record producers of all time, the legendary Michael Wagener. We couldn’t be happier!”

“This has just been an extraordinary experience, seeing how everything is coming together. The band works so efficiently with Michael Wagener that they have finished recording ahead of schedule and are now entering the mix phase,” cites Executive Producer Ben Galecki, “Michael really knows how to decipher what the band is going for and get the absolute best from them. This is going to be epic!”

Counterparts Releases "The Disconnect" Music Video

Counterparts has released a new video for “The Disconnect,” taken from latest release “The Current Will Carry Us.” The video was produced by Vinnie Leonetti on the band’s recent Canadian tour with Stray From The Path and Obey The Brave. Check out the clip below.

Vocalist Brendan Murphy comments: “The video for The Disconnect is a perfect representation of us as a band. When we go on tour, we aren’t there to impress anyone, we aren’t going to ‘work,’ and we are going to have fun. Since day one, this band has been about having fun and making ourselves happy. This video gives people an insight into who we are when we aren’t on stage and how we spend our time. Whether it is skateboarding, trust-falling off our trailer, dancing, getting drunk, playing UNO in crappy hotel rooms or just straight up being children; you can be sure that we’re having the time of our lives. That’s what motivates us to get in the van time after time.”
