Mysticum To Reissue "In The Streams Of Inferno" Album

Early 90’s pioneering industrial black metal act Mysticum and Peaceville Records are proud to announce the reissue of the band’s debut album, “In the Streams of Inferno,” on February 26th.

The reissued version will feature an extensive remastering, courtesy of Tom Kvålsvoll at Strype Studios in Oslo, Norway, along with two bonus songs and bonus DVD. The packaging also contains new artwork made in close association with the band to fully reflect the intended vision, plus liner notes and additional lyrics. The release will be available in both CD and vinyl format.

The bonus DVD will contain two live shows from 1996: “Grotten” in Asker, Norway has until now been totally unknown to the masses except for the few that were present at the show. The other show is the more well-known Bradford, U.K. set from Mysticum’s European tour with Marduk and Gehenna. Peaceville also comments:

“A perfect concoction of cold, primitive black metal and forward-thinking ideas from an act unafraid to push boundaries, the hell of In the Streams of Inferno has had a lasting and profound impact on many since 1996.

“The band was originally signed to Euronymous’ Deathlike Silence Productions label, such was his belief in the band (Mysticum even featured Hellhammer from Mayhem in their line-up for a brief period). However, this venture proved to be cut short following his death, forcing Mysticum to look elsewhere for the release of their eventual debut album, In the Streams of Inferno finally surfacing in 1996.

“Unifying the core trio of Herr General Cerastes, Svartravn and Mean Malmberg in late 2011, Mysticum has commenced work on its follow-up album, Planet Satan, to be released 2013 on Peaceville Records.”

My Soliloquy To Release New Album "The Interpreter"

The progressive metal purveyors at Sensory Records, a division of The Laser’s Edge Group, have confirmed the release of the debut studio opus from British prog outfit My Soliloquy in North America on January 29th, 2013. The following press release was issued about the band:

“My Soliloquy was formed by multi-instrumentalist Pete Morten in 2002. Since then the quintet has released a number of demos, gaining traction in the metal underground, and have performed a number of notable support shows with Pagans Mind, Power Quest, Oliver and Rick Wakeman and Threshold, as well as a second-to-headlining set at Bloodstock 2005 and a showcase at ProgPower UK II in 2007. Additionally, since 2007, Morten has been an active member of British prog metal legends Threshold. His membership has raised awareness (and created anticipation) for My Soliloquy’s long awaited debut.

“The essence of My Soliloquy is pure forward thinking metal – symphonic keyboards, shredding guitar leads, soaring vocals – all finely woven together through a blend of intricacy and melody into a powerful force fans of Threshold, Dream Theater and Circus Maximus will flock to. Following a pair of demos and an EP release, Sensory is proud to finally unleash the newly-completed first full-length from this act. With nearly all instrumentation on the recording executed solely by Pete Morten, minus the drumming, The Interpreter flows with over fifty minutes of grand musicianship, expertly mixed and mastered by Rob Aubrey, a mainstay of Marillion’s camp for many years.”

Check out a trailer for “The Interpreter” in the player below. The album’s track listing is as follows:

1. Ascension Pending
2. Flash Point
3. Corrosive De-Emphasis
4. Fractured
5. Six Seconds Grace
6. Dream In Extremis
7. Inner Circles
8. Star
